Looked to do a bad hammy today in VFL. Might be it.
Dan Richardson apparently said it didn't look good, hopefully he gets back, could be very important for the VFL side in September

How often does this happen after a knee reco.

That's assuming it's the hammy the graft was taken from. Unlike others here i don't wish the worst for Morris.

Watch 2 the game yesterday and I'm so sorry to say that Steve just doesn't have what it takes he's a great Clubman and must be good for the teams culture but has no idea how to play League level football. Constantly ran past the ball at full pelt constantly went to ground just not up to it

I didn't see him get an actual possession. He may have and I missed it but I certainly didn't see him get one.

Just as we seem to have with Miles, let's hope the club can move forward from players such as Steve. Wish him all the best in the future.

I didn't see one either. Theres a lot of talk from the club about loving his attack on the footy, I'd rather he actually attacked the contest AND win the ball, so many times they actually got through his attack way too easily.

IMO he was clearly our worst player yesterday and not a chance to play for us in the AFL again. Should surely be delisted. He and Elton are the most obvious ones we have.

A true indication of how far we have come.

Serious question, how far down the pecking order is he? Player number 38 on our main list?

That's a great sign because if your 38th listed talent player is in your top 3 for hard work and preparation, you are building the right way.

who would be behind him scoop. Elton.... who else?

Its a good question.

Its a bit hard to compare a ruckman or kpp with a hbf. Elton and Soldo didn't get a gig for the vfl side on Saturday.

He was awful on Saturday. Fumbled everything, went to ground. If I'm picking the side this week I drop him, along with Maric, and bring in Markov and Coffield. Instantly a four goal better side.

Was in full Steve Morris mode. Try or appear to try harder than any footballer ever, but in reality run fast, went to ground, fumbled, lost nearly every one on one except for the ball he fumbled across the line late in the 4th.

Despite all that he has given his all and got to play the game at the highest level for the club that he loves.

Steve looks like he is gone...but he was a 100 percent tiger. I love and thank him for it.

I'd swap Hampson for Soldo while your at it!

Absolutely.

Just on Mozza's game he did get one possession, I think. But the rest of the time he was clean bowled IIRC. Might have got a glove on a few before caught behind. He simply could not get the ball.

We're seeing a player who's lost at least a meter of pace and now cannot bend over. The poor bastard is a wreck.

I've never understood this idea that he sets a good example for young players. The bloke has been the definition of a headless chook for most of his career.

The sooner he retires the better.

Don't want to dance on his grave but suppose I am... Even in his prime I rarely enthused over his helter skelter style. Opponents with half his "endeavour" but 10 times his football nous would win the ball 9 times out of 10. No place in elite level of the sport for the "trier"' the 3rd 18 in a school is where you see them. Whether he denied someone a chance who knows but he didn't pick himself in the seniors. All the best to him.
