Can expect plenty from Tigerland to *smile* on them if they don't measure up.
Just on Petterd. Wasn't his achilles supposed to be worse than originally thought? Was bloody sure I'd heard he was almost no hope of being picked up this year.

Turner did come from Melbourne (reserves) from memory but it was a few years before Swooper joined the Tigers

A few others who didn't play a senior game at Melbourne are Brett Evans (via Springvale), Stuart Griffiths, Mark Summers, Ricky Hartman (no senior games at either club). We infamously drafted David Williams after Melbourne delisted him to allow for recovery from a knee injury, but he didn't play during the two seasons he was on our list. Greg Sizer played 1 game at Melbourne and none at Richmond.
Then there was Bill Morris, who played one game for Melbourne reserves...
Merv Keane got a bit lost on his first trip to Melbourne and went for a run with the Demons by mistake.
