He's got a similar build to Young from Freo who plays as a midfielder. INot sure of his tank capacity but wouldn't mind seeing him played in the midfield. Otherwise on a wing would do.

Maybe they should stick Short in the vest to wake his arse up or drop him to the VFL where he'll have to actually earn a kick.
He really info he game when he came on , unfortunately stupid skill errors by others and poor umpiring didn’t give a true reflection of how well he assisted the backline. Stupid sub decisions this year and poor timing when to activate it.

He is a 10 year AFL footballer he should be played without hesitation ,unless we have gone into tanking mode .
Stoked he is named on the field. If Smith can replace Short we have improved our run out of defence - which has been crap for all bar a couple of games.
Still learning the game but worked hard and did a couple of good intercepts which is more than can be said for some of our senior players
Good game , kept competing, kept wanting the footy in his hands , great education today paying on a couple of A grade small forwards .

Hard school to get educated in at the moment, playing in defence for Richmond. Second half of the game was far better than his first, so we need to keep educating the young fella.
