GAME DAY Tiges v Pies

Thing that I think they have going for them, is thier ball movement. Even in the wet tonight it looked amazing. I hope you’re right and they fall in a heap, but unfortunately I think they’ve got the list and coaching staff to pull it off.

I get it. Plenty if teams had amazing ball movement in March. We did in 2018. It's a long season and I would much prefer to be dominant later in the year than mow6

including our own Matthew Richardson who was swooning all over the Pies all game
Yer, I often expect/want Richo to go in to bat for us re umpiring decisions, non-calls etc. But he's like a CH. 7 kitten - knows where his bread's buttered and it's an easy job.

Tarranto and Hopper are not the problem. They are both accumulators which is what we desperately needed. What we need now is to find some speed and ball use to complement them.
The Jack and Cotch decision is already looking a bad one. Time and money which could have been spent on kids.
Said this a long time ago and was savaged for it. Time waits for no man and they know this too. Keeping Cotch the for another yr was more about getting him to 300 than it was about team balance.

They've done their job and admirably so....and I'm one of their biggest fans.

However, at the end of last year it was time for them to pass on the torch.

Buses for trains on Frankston Cranbourne pakenham lines etc tonight. Absolute mess. Finally leaving caufield but maybe 300-500 still waiting for a bus. Cruel and unusual punishment with Collingwood supporters singing.

The 11.00 craigiburn train out of flinders

Was the tightest packed thing ive ever been in.
One person got off at kensington

And the roar was like Lamberts goal in the 17 prelim.

Strange game tonight.

What's happen to our skills and disposal under 10 stuff sometimes not clean enough and will hold us back bigtime that , and brain fades been holding us back for the last 2 seasons to many players for my liking.

Dimma needs to do what's best for our club we are carrying to many veterans that are one paced now simple as that you can carry so much freshen up the side kids are there in the vfl.

I reckon this decline of the fundementals coincides with the footy department salary cap restrictions. May be cutting corners with the program?

I have to be honest, amongst all the other emotions and frustrations, I felt jealousy watching Collingwood play ,

It brought back memories of us probably around that time in 18 on that run of wins at the g , somewhere around there, it is fun supporting your team when they are playing like that .

Too many one-paced veterans.

This is where we are at.

Weighs us down, makes us a middling side (for now).

Dont worry kids in a few weeks Gibbo Arthur Clarke Steely will all be regulars. May still miss finals tho.

Nailed it spook.

Our VFL boys (plus Bakes) did well tonight.

Judson, cumbo, Hugo, Ross. Tyler young killed Mihocek.

Our senior players were less than ordinary.

How does McStay beat Nank in the Ruck?
How does Peter Frampton nullify Lynch?
Vlastuin was terrible. Grimes... Jack.... Marlion got destroyed by Sidebottom.

Strange game. Didn't expect to win, but that was bloody disappointing

Add Balta to that list - he is still young for a KPP.

I have only watched the first half on replay as I was out last night, but Balta was Rance like in that first half - BOG for the tigers.

I will watch the second half later today - looking forward to it.

There are lots of stats in a game of footy.

If there is one from this game that sums it up it is turnovers. ( not exact as I am doing some of it from memory)

In the first half we had 52 turnovers whereas Collingwood had mid 30s. The total for the match was 82-72. When you stop turning the ball over so much you come back into the game.

Who would’ve thought?

We couldn't get the ball out of the foward line.
I lost count how many times we either kicked it straight to the them *BigV or handballed to nobody.
Our kicking is atrocious

Just watched the presser and dimma said we had 28 forward half turnovers in the first half with many of them when we weren’t under pressure. 8 in the second. I didn’t see the in close work at the ground but grimes was having a mare just trying to kick it in 25m. I thought it was out of character poor and not sure we see it that bad again this year. If we do we are toast - no team can defend missing 25m passes that go to the opposition coming out of defence.

Its started all ready. The hate squad is back.
'The score flattered Richmond"
Maybe yes. But bad kicking is bad footy.
They missed properly 5 shots. But flappers, Mansell and Lynch missed basic set shots too.
They out played us YES, but the score wasn't flattering

It was our bad kicks that lead to their bad kicks IMO.
