GAME DAY Tiges v Pies

I'm extremely encouraged by what I saw,
The magpies are at their peak can't get better ,where tigers are undermanned with.
The tigers slowly improving remember the tigers felt that it would take till rounds 5 to.6 to start really hitting our straps.
Hopper out was huge tonight has he's a clearance beast.
Ross is getting better and if we need a pace injection in our midfield, bolton is their.
Also sonsie is another that will inject something different to our midfield and like lots of our boys,he's only just started playing after injury.

Reckon our biggest weakness is transit from d50 to a look on goals. We flaff about and get creative only to constantly bomb down the line.
Would love that exit kick from the defensive flank to go inboard 25 metres. Open up and lower the eyes.
Every time we bomb it to the half fwd flank.

No good. It was embarrassing how we lost contested ball when he won the tap..he seems taps to nowhere
Nank is a terrible tap ruckman. Is clueless when he gets first hands to it. Need a genuine ruckman which we dont have unfortunately. Should have gone for Grundy

Pies the better side on the night but we fought it out really well. Some good signs from young blokes Juddy and Hugo, and of course Cumbo. Ross was alright. Old blokes the worry. Chimpa tried and was probably one of our best but - but... just... slowed... down. Can't apply the pressure he once did and is coming under pressure more than he ever has when he has it. Jack. Hmm. Grimey. Ummm.

Anyhoo, Dusty, Hoops, Shorty, Sonz, Broady to come in. They can play a bit.

It's still March.
Nailed it spook.

Our VFL boys (plus Bakes) did well tonight.

Judson, cumbo, Hugo, Ross. Tyler young killed Mihocek.

Our senior players were less than ordinary.

How does McStay beat Nank in the Ruck?
How does Peter Frampton nullify Lynch?
Vlastuin was terrible. Grimes... Jack.... Marlion got destroyed by Sidebottom.

Strange game. Didn't expect to win, but that was bloody disappointing

Spot on. Considering we are such a slow team you would think we would look at the shortest route to goals. Game plan just all over the place atm

The NGAs are a *smile* joke and Scumwood have rorted it more than anyone. Somehow got access to the Oakleigh Chargers as an NGA?? The best football academy in Australia!

That kid and the other one, McInnes, were both born Australia and grew up in the reasonably affluent middle class eastern suburbs of Melbourne playing for strong established junior clubs. Yet because they have a parent that was born in Africa or the Phillipines, and migrated here 30 *smile* years ago, Scumwood get NGA access to them?? *smile* right off!

And we have to struggle with access only to the likes of Eggman from areas with genuine disadvantage who are genuine NGA prospects and are behind the 8 ball from day one. What an absolute *smile* joke.
Absolutely Rids. Well said. NGAs just a joke for many clubs but rorted by some like the Skunks. I posted at the time that it was a shocker for them to be allowed the Chargers. We are an 'eastern' side club as much as them; the Dawks more than either.

Its funny Collingwood has a bloke they found at Port Melbourne controlling there foward line plucking marks and smashing packs.
And they never get injured.
Sidebottom & Penderbury both were rated 2nd & 3rd best.

Let's get real. The margin flattered us. It was a credit to them to tough it out but that was more like a 7-8 goal loss. We were pretty well outplayed for most of the game. They outnumbered us at the fall of the ball all over the ground. When we did get opportunities we butchered them with our horrendous kicking. That is a massive issue for us.
We were comprehensively outplayed for four quarters.

Sure, we got physical and worked them over, but that was the only shot we had.

Like an angry boxer who can’t dance anymore.

Tough call on a kid in his 2nd season playing about his 4th game.

Shows good signs, that’s all you’re looking for from a mid 20’s pick at this stage.

He’ll be ok, give him a chance.
Sort of Fiora ish…?

One good aspect, their scores from inside 50 entries went at 39%, first time under 50% this year.

Not enough positives apart from that though.

Shai almost invisible.

He should be winning Brownlows, instead of making insignificant cameos

What have we ever got from our NGA? Eggman? How many games did he play? It's a *smile* disgrace how Scumwood have rorted this. That area of Melbourne is football nursery gold. The Chargers have by far and away the best U/18 program and most of the elite private schools with their scholarship dollars are in that zone.

How much money was exchanged under the table to allow this rort? I would argue Richmond is traditionally tied to this zone more than Hawthorn. Our old metro recruiting zone formed a big part of this area. That's semantic anyway, the whole NGA thing should be abolished. And Quanyor thrown back into the open draft!!!!

Shai playing like a bloke who has won 2 flags an All Australian and just signed a 5 year contract.
Not sure there is a huge amount of hunger in Shai's game atm
