GAME DAY Tiges v Pies

How to shut up a scumwood supporter quick. Got to work this morning and “greeting” me at the door straight away was one. Normally a good guy but…
Starts off with “Great game Friday night “. I just nod. His grin gets wider.
“Almost as good as the 2018 Preliminary hey?”
I just smiled and replied “ I guess. We’ve had to settle with 2 flags since but you guys have gone into bigger and better things since then haven’t you?”
He mumbled and walked away. Guess who had the big grin then
Well done. That's the way to do it......even if you have to repeat or rephrase as these Scumwood ferals are a bit dumb.

Crickey - the pies were older, taller, bigger and more experienced - no wonder they won.

And I thought we were the old buggers, well I’ll be.

You should send this too the media buffoons.

Wow, how precious are the umps becoming. Free kick or dissent or having your arms out and saying "hows that not a free", now equals a free kick at the top of the square. Rough.
That umpire is a *smile* smack and needs to get the arse.

He's skewered the Tigers more than once too the prickk.

Walked right into it.

He seems to be a Provocateur in that he doesn't go with the crowd here on
- the Umps collude with the AFL to pay free kicks against us
- The MRO is out to get us
- that every journo despises us and try to bring us down
- that every decision the club makes is bang on 100% correct

He has more patience than I do on the umpire one. I don't engage in that discussion on here for the exact reason that the responses are always childish and angry, and in most cases posters genuinely do not understand the rules.

Instead of welcoming an alternate opinion he cops it, but I'd say he's always pretty respectful.
I don’t think you are being fair to the posters on here that are heart and soul tigers. Of course there is passion and plenty of bias.
But I don’t agree with your points on the whole
- the umpiring stats are self evident. We watch the game every week and see the inconsistency. I haven’t seen anybody mention collusion between the AFL and Umps (though I wouldn’t argue that is hasn’t been said). It’s more weekly bewilderment, frustration and this place allows an opportunity to vent amongst like-minded people. Surely to be expected on here so why try and temper it??
- the main discussions with MRO have been the Marlion Pickett suspension and fines. Again I haven’t seen the argument that the MRO is out to get us - just Marlion! And it was a suspension worth debating. Again if we can’t do that here, where else do we go? SEN? Surely TBR etc must expect passionate defence of our players here
- some truth to this one, but for example people bag Robbo for a lot of stuff he says. Same with Whateley.
Cornes does always bag Richmond I can’t stand the bloke. His bagging of Nank and the club for appointing Nank, and declaring on several occasions Cotch should have walked after 2021, while never mentioning Robbie Gray’s decline or going after Hinkley - well he can get stuffed. And Nank and Cotch were 1 and 2 on the ground against Port last year
- you have made this one up, the Club gets criticised on here and there is good debate. TBR just goes the one way all the time, which is Ok but people are going to fire up.

I see you go down a similar road to TBR in the last bit , suggesting others are childish and don’t know the rules etc. its a public forum of course there will be all types, and passionate people will rant a bit. Maybe you are wrong? Or TBR is?

One could argue he is deliberately inflammatory.

And you've exaggerated those points, there have been plenty of statistics posted that suggest we get a poor run with the umpires. As well as suffer from MRO inconsistency. The crowd on here don't agree on everything!

Always pretty respectful - I'd suggest often pretty demeaning. Basically belittle's posters lack of knowledge of rules, interpretations etc etc. Despite often being presented with well argued points.

The main issue is consistently making authoritave claims about rules or rules changes with no actual substantiation. It's his MO. Followed by a put down to whoever argues against him.

Ultimately he appears well equipped to look after himself and he can always use the ignore function if he doesn't want to hear from certain posters.

It's a passionate game and sometimes passion overrides logic.

Frampton is this week's Collingwood player of the week.
