Yeah Hardwick didn't like it and wanted an arm wrestle.

It's been downhill ever since.

People haven't realised but that was when we got the full handbrake applied.

this just isnt true.
we kicked 5 goals in the 1st quarter, moving the ball quickly and kicking long to contests. in the 2nd and 3rd we continued to try the same thing, but they rebounded with ease. we never pushed numbers back, we never started kicking backwards.

we erred not playing a second tall but we did not drastically change tact from the 1st 5 games

We actually setup exactly as we were trained to.

As per Chimp interview straight after game. Don't blame the players.

the players needed to adjust to how freo set up. they did not.
Grimes on Mundy was a good case in point. he played Mundy as he always would, defending goal side. but he was standing next to Rance, and leaving the one open spot on Freo's forward line unguarded. a coach cant tell the players exactly where to stand but they needed to adjust, and perhaps Rance as the spare and VC should have been directing traffic.

Rubbish. We've reverted to bomb down the line the last four weeks, three of them after accumulating a nice lead. Hardwick has no instinct for scoreboard pressure. Never has, never will.

But didn't we win 5 straight because Balme, Caracella, Lepper and Co. had taken charge. So now we've lost 3 because Dimma is back in charge. You Darksiders are very confusing. So who is in charge this week, say, if we win?

I'd just like you to tell me now so I know who to praise and who to damn in anticipation.

BTW, I'm sure the 'bomb down the line the last four weeks' is all Dimma's doing, nothing to do with the lack of any decent KPFs besides JR! But no doubt Dimma must be in charge of List Management, drafting and recruiting too I guess ... ... but not for Rounds 1-5? Hold on, this doesn't make any sense.

Please explain Oh Wise One?

I don't think I'll bother going back to check, it's just too painful, but I thought Cotch said they didn't get it right. They still haven't learnt a thing or have much idea obviously. I seriously doubt it's all the coaching team's fault e.g. the way that JR went to the pocket to curtail the short pass, leaving whoever it was who kicked out for GWS free to run 10ms out of the square before Bolton finally ran at him, allowing him to bomb it 70m to the centre where Mummy, Cameron and Co. were gathered waiting to pounce. You reckon that was Dimma's fault, the coaches' instructions?

IMO just so dumb by Riewoldt who is a team leader. He also hit the post from 15m out, missed another vital set shot and refused to handball, as he often chooses, to a player running by, instead trying for another wonder goal between a maze of legs along the ground. But, hey, only Dimma is to blame.

A lot of that might be true.

Leysy was simply commenting that we setup at the final centre bounce against Freo exactly as we are trained to late in a game when leading by less than a goal.

Yep, if we had kicked straight after 1/4 time nobody would be saying we changed game style.

Not sure we watched the same game.

Yes we botched some get shots. But we also went into our shell compared to the first quarter.

Don't worry. I'm livid with the whole club: all players on field; the coaches; the admin. Just about everyone bar the trainers etc. Sick and tired of their amateur-hour ineptitude. Could barely speak for anger last night.

I just regard it holistically, not simply due to the Head Coach. See my reply to the Baron. It's almost a culture of stupidity pervading RFC.

PS - Just look at the draft selections; the recruiting. Last year Yarran, now Prestia, next Shache?

Rubbish. He changed the structure.

Regardless of what we think of Elton or Soldo, the 2nd key forward has been the key to our game plan which includes our mosquitoe fleet. He dropped Elton and brought in a defensive battler coming off a knee reco and 2 mediocre games in the VFL.

God knows what he also said to the players mid week.

He handbraked us.
