We have a great list though Lamby, don't forget that.

Great lists and top 4 lists are different Anty. On present form this year we have a top 4 list ATM.

Bulldogs had a top 7 list last year and still bagged the flag.

Be nice if we had a goal kicking tall who could chop out in the ruck.

So your ladder finish after home and away rounds is how good your list is, gotcha.
Thereafter coaching kicks in.

Is it that we have a great list or just the best list Bernie's ever had? Two very different things.

Personally I see it as a middling list right now given the forward line structural deficiencies and the youth of the forward line midgets. Having only one proven, fit ruck is a big problem as well unless Ivan has a renaissance.

YET the highest pick on their current list is No.11.
I am not arguing against you but wasn't one of the crouches one of those pre draft bidding picks which means he would be rated as a very high draft pick ?

I don't disagree with the premise though

You're correct Sin. It was for Brad Crouch.
The Crows gave up pick 10 in the 2011 draft and the 1st round compo pick they received for losing Phil Davis to GWS.

Is that for the rumour board, Tiga?

Maybe so, but I reckon this contract is his last at Richmond even if we have finals success. 9 years is a long time for any senior coach to be at one club. Wouldn't be surprised if the Leppacella succession plan is in operation.

Even though I want Dourwick gone asap I'm not sure about a possible succession plan. My concern is have we canvassed the best possible options out there for senior coach.

You have to wonder if frustration is creeping in again for the players.

Easy to forget the players downed tools toward the end of last year. Didn't want to go to the well.

Aside from improving lines of communication with exec, this is why so many changes were made to the footy dept. The players needed to believe we were back on track.

It's only one loss. To the best team in the comp. But my rationale has always been to judge Hardwick on his entire tenure.

After eight years we should be close to the best team of the comp. Not seventy-odd points off.

This kind of thing happens too often. Always off the pace, always embarrassed in the big challenges.

I wonder how brittle the players' confidence is this year. It wasn't just that we lost, but how we lost. The coaches had a losing mentality from the get-go. When do these players get jack of that?

I reckon this week is heaps more important, and will be more telling than last week.

I fully get the angst, and I admit to a mild fear of failure creeping into my own inane optimistic demeanour.

But it was one loss out of 6 games, to clearly the best side in the comp.

The task this week is huge without Nank.

Win, and almost all of us will believe. Lose by a couple of kicks, and the jury will still be out. get spanked, and the jury will deliver a swift and grim verdict.

All I want is to know the structure and tactics enable the players to use their talents.

If we lose that way, I'm not happy, but I'm not calling for sackings either.

Continue to let Hardwick have his way and we need to move now before the season is shot.
