I'd much prefer a full.list for the adelaide game than to.lose kpp's tonight just because we wanted to send a message. Send that message in 2 weeks.
Before you get to far ahead of yourself anticipating sending the Crows a message in two weeks, we've still got to play Smelbourne next week, all sorts of nasty things have been known to occur when we front up to that mob.

As for possible injuries to KPP or any other player, that's a hazard in every game that's played. But many wise and experienced former players n coaches will tell you that the greatest risk of getting hurt is when you are not focused and committing fully to the contest ( loafing along in cruise mode ).

Dimma in the press conference: "yeah, it was an ok performance. Probably played in spits and spurts, looked good at stages and inconsistent at stages, we,re looking to play a little bit better than that next week, parts of our game I'm a little bit unhappy with tonight"

"We probably didn't handle their kick and catch tonight. When we play our best we can be very dangerous but we can also hurt ourselves.

Kane Lambert did a standout job on Rich and Zorko. I thought Dion stepped up tonight, I think he had 20 odd touches and looked really clean around the scrimmages."
wow, so even Dimma said we could've done better and there were things he wasn't happy with.....he should go and barrack for Collingwood.......

Big boy month coming up.

Melbourne, Adelaide, Dogs and Freo.

2 out of 4 wins is the minimum.

Melbourne - win (no Paul Roos = no bogey opposition coach)
Adelaide - Loss (they won't lose a game in Adelaide this year)
Footscray - Likely Loss (its winnable, but not confident at Etihad)
Freo - Likely Win (won't be a walk in the park though)

This Bernie guy is having an amazingly positive influence. I think he'll be contracted through to end of '18.

still believe he deserves the sack if we don't win a final this year and I won't budge on that. god help us if we make the prelim and those hacks at Richmond HQ decide to extend him again next preseason.

Seriously disgraceful comments!!! Missed an opportunity? 52 point win away from home !! Get some perspective!!!!

we beat GWS a couple of times by 100 points when they were sh!t. but before that, our previous 100 point win was against Fitzroy in 1996. would I have taken a 52 point win before the game? probably yes. but if you want some perspective, the fact is that the Richmond side of the 21st century does not bury teams. instead of 17.17 on Sunday, it would have been nice to have kicked 20 goals plus.

all *smile* aside, I have faith that Balmey, such a crucial appointment, will know who is responsible for our current success.

he will report up the chain at the end of our season, whenever that may be.

A malthouse/buckley style forced succession plan?

Geez lamby, you must get sick of hanging off my coat-tails. I'm flattered, but it's a bit tragic no?

Will you be upset if Dimma keeps his 100% record going this season? It's never been a more confusing time to be a Dimma hater.

Aaahh, I just got your don't care post on the Miles thread.

Don't take it too personally. If you self censor your stalking tendencies, I wont need to slap you down as often.

If by slap-down you mean hissy-fit, yeah I can probably do without those. Now just chill-out lambie, if you put up anti-Dimmer posts in the Miles thread then don't be surprised if people actually challenge them.

You can never find enough threads to grind your axe while making a point thinly veiled as on topic!

Something needed to be done at half time. Melbourne were hunting the stoppages and setting up forays with ease.

They clearly primed themselves for this game, bringing an intensity we couldn't match early. That's no slight on us, that's just footy.

Astbury was moved up the ground for a period and it seemed to open up play. Its a very good move that we can use more often in these scenarios.

Elton has been ineffective but at least he can swing too.

Nank began tapping aggressively to advantage in the absence of Spencer and the clearance differential was addressed.

Lambert was busy and eventually got Oliver. Defensively we were immense, and structured as if we expected the early tsunami. Good coaching.

The coaches message was to stand firm, that Melbourne would falter in the last. It was a mature message handled professionally.

You can't smash teams in the wet when they're hungry finals aspirants. We turned it on when we needed to for exactly as long as we needed to.

A seasoned win. Well coached and executed.

Also - did anyone notice Hardwick bristling at the notion that Melbourne being two players down took some gloss off the win?

He said that if there was ever a time to lose two players, it's in wet, inclement conditions. Exactly right. it wasn't a game of running link play and their disadvantage was mitigated.

Also, he said we took the four points and "walk away winners".

it was almost belligerent. I liked it.
