Roos really does read too much of his own press. He really just has a few observations and attempts to manipulate. His references to the two players as much as he did was ridiculous. its code for we should have won. I think it had an impact but we looked fitter, got the momentum and they tired after giving it all they had.taztiger4 said:

the replay might reveal more, but I reckon we sagged off the pack a little bit in the first half.
almost like we rolled out a second to the ball approach to work the melbourne mids over, knowing they would tire over four quarters.
you can do this when you have supreme faith in your backline, which we do.

Geez and here i was thinking Goodwin gave Dimma an absolute bath last night. They gave us no space and didnt allow us to move the ball quickly. The halftime score flattered us. So much fumbling and dropped marks by us. It didn't rain that much FFS.
Doubt that it's the coach's preference, but we seem to be playing the first half almost as a waiting game each week. Just absorb all the heat n pressure that the opposition throw at us in the first half without getting blown off the score board. Then open up and go to town in the second half after a bit of heat n pace has gone out of the game. Scary n frustrating as hell sitting in the stands watching, so far it's working well.

Absolutely got found out by Adelaide, whether or not that is because adelaide are far and away the best side in the comp is the pertinent question. They are just so strong everywhere. If we follow up this performance with similar ones against WB and GWS then whats the point with persisting with Bernie?
