When will Bernie go !!

Great title, someone should use it to make a t.v. show ;D.

Just on the quality of the list, pretty sure there's a quote from Dimma sometime early last year that it was " the best list " Dimma had in his time coaching us. Must have been around the time when everything was just starting to fall apart with injuries, kids coming in and the players losing all confidence n starting to play ring a rosie instead of foot ball.

Maybe Dimma was ahead of the curve after all n he could see what none of us could even imagine.

He has premiership coach attributes

Awkward kind of game, Dimma needs a win to keep the momentum rolling and lay the groundwork for September.

Brisbane are dangerous, especially at home, so I'll be happy with win number four.

By jingos it would be nice to smash the demons next week. Real grudge match.

At least two of them at present.
1 / He's still coaching a team.
2 / He's got the team winning n up near the top of the ladder.

Round 4 win, Tick

- 1st time under Dimma,

Revenge for Tommy Hafey memorial next, then bring on the Scott brothers

Big boy month coming up.

Melbourne, Adelaide, Dogs and Freo.

2 out of 4 wins is the minimum.

Adelaide the only yeah who can beat us. The other 3 we can beat.

Slayin' em with structures across all zones.

Really aggressive press today. Hardest I've seen since 2013.

Rance, Astbury and Grimes.

These blokes are the best aerial interception unit in the league.

They allow us to commit more numbers forward of the pill.

Hard to coach against our current setup.

This Bernie guy is having an amazingly positive influence. I think he'll be contracted through to end of '18.

:cutelaugh

We must beat those Demon flogs; Crows at home may be too good for anyone.

Not much chance of him being sacked this week.

Hope he kicks a few arses over our over confidant cruise mode during the second half. Elite sides would have buried an opponent when they held such dominance, we're not yet good enough or composed enough to take the foot off n play cruise along footy, ball use was bloody lazy so many times going into forward fifty.

We could have and should have sent a message to the competition by recording a 100 point victory. Instead we took our foot off there throats and played bruise free footy for much of the second half.

In a season where we are trying to regain some respect in the footy world we missed an opportunity today. That said any win is a good win and I'm sure all tiger fans are smiling tonight.

Wow a 9 goal win isn't good enough? Give me a spell, pahhhlease

para-phrasing from the presser:

"we're pleased that as a package [Castagna, Rioli and Butler] are hitting the scoreboard but more importantly, defensively they're giving the opposition a hell of a lot of grief."

last I checked you don't need to pressure the oppo once the ball is through the big sticks, Dimma, but spoken like a true backman :hihi

One question. What has changed?

All our Asst coaches changed.
Balme in.
Our play has changed dramatically.
Our pressure and press has changed
Our small Fwds with manic tackling (where dimma said last year we're not a tacking team that's not our style) changed
( remember we have been the worst tackling team in the WHOLE afl last 3 years )
Our quick run transition has changed.
Our mid depth has increased
That's just a few
Our head of coach hasn't changed tho!!!!
As this is the dimma thread I don't give him much cudos for the above changes as he's been there what 7 years. Why hasn't he implemented these thing over theose years????
Are these positive changes his doing ???? What now all of a sudden?? I think not !!
Credit where credits due, but it doesn't add up that this credit should be directed to dimma.

Completely missed the point doherz.
It could have and should have been a fifteen goal whitewash. Percentage never hurts n a total dismantling of an opponent doesn't hurt when it comes to putting the wind up future opposition.

We've been famous over the last thirty years for capitulating under pressure even when we've been in control and leading comfortably. We've rarely taken sides completely apart over four qtrs, sometimes a burst over one qtr that then leads to an arm wrestle for the rest of the game.

We had the perfect opportunity to grow a pair n seriously tear Brisvegas a new one but we flubbed it with some lazy work pushing into the forward half because we went into cruise mode. Good sides own a healthy dose of ruthless nasty bastard n bury poor opposition every chance they get, it's something we need to learn n soon.

2014 First Elimination Final - Port Adelaide d Richmond by 57

Drafted...

Dan butler 2014
Dan Rioli 2015
George 2015

Last draft

Three AFL ready to play

Prestia
caddy
Knackers!

Seems the plan for our current game plan has been brewing longer than some give the club credit for. The hard nut cops the result if it stands up or falls in a heap!

But you won't give credit where its due although your happy to dump the chicken sheizen!

If you're going to refer to teams of seasons past and what we have or haven't done, then you can't ignore that when the opposition is lowly or lazy, it has also bought us down. On the contrary I point to.last years swans and bulldogs games where we stepped up. To that point i have no issue with cruise mode today and i welcome adelaide in an epic battle in a fortnight. Regardless of today "effort" that you highlight, I'd much prefer a full.list for the adelaide game than to.lose kpp's tonight just because we wanted to send a message. Send that message in 2 weeks.
