When will Bernie go !!

Most of the football world dosnt rate our list either! Or our club!

You and other's speak as if you know the outcome! That it is a Fact! That your though processes are obviously the only answer and the only outcome if we follow your wisdom is success!

After three finals losses, I can understand why the club took a conservative approach. We where average, nomans land! After the port finals smashing, I believe the club invested in youth and pace, aware that 2016 would be a season of pain, most likely this one as well. Building on foundations, trying to take the next step from average towards being a consistent finals contender. Cause to do it in the real world takes planning, action and your mortal enemy, patients and the chance you may fail!

Hardwick took on an extention knowing this. He will cop it in the neck if the investment in Prestia, Caddy and Knackers dosnt steady the ship. He will get the chopp if enough of the kids we invested in after the port final dont come on! The long game is keeping dusty, use our two first round draft picks wisely and set our self up for a prolonged era of finals leading to a flag!

In the real world you plan and constantly re-adjust. Its an ongoing process. You do it knowing that you may not succeed! Scapegoating and b!tching and moaning dosnt change the past or the future! Doing is brave. Spitting the dummy is the easy ride!

I for one am looking forward to having the footy back, come what may!

'steady the ship' for what? More EF losses?

We need to do better. That Hardwick still holds the reins is an absolute disgrace.

If we lose to Carlton, which I hope we do, we are just two or three more losses away from removing the head coach.

With so much heat ready to be applied, we could have a new coach by Easter.

I believe Blake Caracella has taken over ball movement as a contingency plan. If Hardwick goes mid-season, the overall structure need not collapse. When you consider the weird side-lining of the head coach over summer, one can only conclude that the club is preparing for seamless transition.

Hardwick might well be a victim of youthful progression.

We might stink it up early doors, he gets the sack, then the kids come on.

I won't be complaining at all. That's the best case scenario AFAIC.

Are you really going to barack for Carlton??

I want Dim wick gone too Baron but still hope we beat Carlton and Pies first 2 games. He is a very poor coach so Im sure he will be walking the plank sometime this season. Next please!

Rooting for a bad season is also rooting for us to lose one of the best midfielders that's ever played for the club in his prime fyi. Also we'll be massively undercompensated.

Because if we have another poor season Martin's a goner.

This is where we seriously diverge Baron, I can't hope we lose to Carlton. It makes me sick even thinking about it .

However there are a few things here I do agree with. I was feeling positive about the team early in JLT but now I have this feeling of unease. Our future is about getting menadue, Markov, CEllis, Bolton etc etc into the team and I don't think it is going to happen unless we stumble early which may well occur.

I have this very uneasy feeling about round 1 both on who we will pick and the result.

Going back to your point. If Dimma is as bad as you think he is winning against carlscum won't make a difference to the outcome of his coaching future so let's at least hopefully enjoy a victory against our traditional enemy.

Even our 2nds could beat them. Enjoy the % booster first BS.

I agree. I think Hardwick is an extremely limited and mediocre coach but I can't hope we lose to Carlton. I am not confident we will win but I hope we smash them by over 100 points. Hate the scum

Makes me laugh reading the threads when most of those that scream loudest about wanting Dimma gone from the coaching position, also cry n moan n bleat loudest about how Dimma will kill off any chance of a successful season by picking all the dud delist, never win us a flag players B.Ellis, Houli, Hunt, Conca, Ivvy, Grigga, Lambert, Batchelor, Townsend etc. etc.

Do all the miserable haters not realise that this should be the perfect season scenario for them? You should all be down on the knees praying n wishing for just such a scenario to unfold.

You'd all get the opportunity to be proven as absolute geniuses when it comes to all the wrongs at Tigerland.

All the dud delist players under performing as per usual would see us wallowing around the bottom of the ladder, therefore ensuring the board acted and sacked the coach.

There'd obviously be further moves undertaken during the follow up part of the season by the interim coach to fast track all our superstar youngsters, while pushing all those dud delist players out the door at seasons end.

We'd gain the advantage of at least one of our two first rounders next year being a very early pick, it could even be three first rounders if Dusty packs up as well, instant rebuild of star youngsters to go with our established star players.

We'd have the new coach starting from a low base, easy draw after finishing lower on the ladder, time to establish his new game style and bring the champion youngsters through during the honeymoon period of nil expectation.

We might even get a genuine group up to challenge the board n have a decent summer of eat their own blood bath, get rid of all the dud delists, board coach and players, absolute bliss for the angry experts.

The only minor negative of course is that we'd be losing heaps of games this year, footy wouldn't be any fun, opposition supporters n media would revel in the chance to stick it up us again. We've copped plenty of that for over thirty years so one more season to start all over again won't be that hard to manage surely? All those things you've been wishing for these last few years, come to fruition right from early this year. Haters should be salivating at the possibility of all your fantasies coming true this year, should be begging Dimma to self immolate by selecting all those duds.

Me, I'm hoping that all our dud delists have quality seasons this year in support of our good to elite players, that we make finals n even win a few, same as I hope we do every year. If that means the coach n the board n some less fancied players get to stay on for another year, so be it. I'll take that as long as my side is up the ladder winning more games than losing and contending into the finals for the opportunity to chase a flag.

if it eventually gives us a clean start with a coach who understands and values attacking, supportive spread from the contest, then yes.

the quicker it happens, Sinners, the better it'll be for the club. you will recall our lack of effort in the last six rounds of 2016. players are tired of Dimma and why wouldn't they be?

I'm hopin' we lose Dimma with enough time to have a crack at finals.

hence my carlton call. if we lose that, and Collingwood, the heat will be immense.

Interesting no one picked up on an interview with Dimma before or after a JLT game where they asked him what it was like to have Balme as success seemed to follow him, Dimma scoffed and said he had 3 flags at different clubs so success also followed him, seemed strange and somewhat prickly...

Lets hope we name our best team on Wednesday and smash the scum, easily my most hated club!

It was a *smile* question from a d grade country journo. Not the time or place to be discussing balme. Had no relevance to the post game presser. I would've given him some of the Same tbh.
