When will Bernie go !!

Of course you love it. Mappa's kum by ah approach lets you off the hook. Doesn't wash with me, history will show who was was full fruitcake and who was rational analyst and everything in between. Not many people will care of course, I have no illusions about that, its only a bunch of boofheads arguing on an anonymous fan forum, but, it will all be on the record, its what we do 8-

Afternoon Tigersnake hope you're having a great day Kum By Ah.

I'm a Dimma supporter, brightsider, Richmond staff member, board member and many other things according to those that done rate the club and the coach.

In truth just enjoying the ride.

No problem with the kum by ah mappa. Very big of you, you're a bigger man than I am 8-

Ok Chops, I'll play...

You dont put any weight in where a player is in their own development? Their age and its effect on a players body? A players peak?

Our best players last Friday, where only developing their craft in 2013! Dusty was a pup. He is now the best player in the comp!

Most of the players gone where well past their peak!

Newman, Chris
Foley, Nathan
King, Jake
Tuck, Shane
Knights, Chris

Many of the others not AFL standard

McJesus
Stephenson, Orren
Arnot, Matt
McDonough, Matt
Helbig, Brad

Some Plodders at best

Chaplin, Troy
Dea, Matt
Lonergan, Sam
Petterd, Ricky
White, Matt
McGuane, Luke
Edwards, Aaron
Nahas, Robin

Prestia
Caddy
Knackers
Rioli
Butler
Jack Graham

all say hi! Oh all where walk up starts on Friday and would be best 22 in 2013.

Wasn't Foley injured for much of that time Lamb? I'd say Alex, Trent, Dusty are better now than then too. You seem to have forgotten Chaplin. McBean brings the overall quality down as does Griffins to a lesser extent. Where's Tyrone?
Knights never did anything of note either the poor bugger. Grimes was always injured. Newman average. Bellis was going through his sh!t phase. Maric was cooked. Jake was done.

Side this year is streets ahead of that one, even though you've included injured players and tried to hide others you didn't fancy. Also Nahas LOL

You rate miles and he can't even get a game with the current list.

Shai
Tyson
Corey Ellis

should be very good players!

He is winding us up ant?

Must be! Not even Lambs can believe what he is trying to argue?

Interesting argument isn't it?

If you look at some of the players taking the place of present dayers trying to match them as close to like for like

We have

2013 2017

Newman Broad
King Castagna
Tuck Townsend
Deledio Caddy
Foley Prestia
Jackson Lambert
Maric (in prime) Nank
Knights Butler
White Rioli

It's not obvious to me that those 2013 players playing under this game style wouldn't perform as well.

Success is often about the buy in by the players.

One thing is pretty sure. Both the 13 and 17 best 22s are better than the 2016 Dogs list but Doggies still nabbed the prize.

There is a very good saying that things are never as good as they seem and they are never as bad as they seem.

As for injuries, the butterfly effect works here.

I think we are going to go around in an ever diminishing circle till we all disappear in a circular argument.

That very poor list in 2013 against that year's grand finalists

Looking at Lamb's list Dimma deserves major props for getting us into the finals at all.

Indeed.

And I reckon the 2015 list is even worse. Almost half the team that played North is either gone or can't get a game just 2 years later, though they have helped the seconds to reach a prelim.

Looking at those highlights you see the same story again and again Jack, Rance, Cotchin, Martin , Deledio.

Guns in 2013, before and after.

It's a bit sad that in trying to protect the coach posters gun for the players who for the record posted 15 win home and away seasons in 2013, 2015 and 2017.

Success is built on fine margins. Our guns were let down by the coaching staff in 13, 14 and 15. Fortunately not this year.

Finally surrounded the guns with better quality. Kudos to the recruiters. If you reckon the 2015 list was as good as this one you have rocks in your head.

How did such a sh!t coach lead these teams to 15 wins in 2013 and 2015?

Forget top 4 list, those lists must have been amongst the best of all time to win so many games under such crippling coaching.

Obvious that the fresh game plan has re-invigorated B Ellis, Houli, Vlastuin, Astbury, Grigg, Edwards.

Seriously?

Your taking the p155 Yeah?

You honestly believe the list in 2013 is as good or better now? Nah your baiting me? Surely?

I know, pretty crazy.

2013 Richmond 22 15 7 0 2154 1754 122.81 60

2017 Richmond 22 15 7 0 1992 1684 118.3 60

All duds that should have been delisted. Lambert, Townsend, Butler, McIntosh, Conca, also. All no good. The lot of em.

You keep saying this thinking you are saying something interesting.

One day you'll be able to tell your grandkids you saw players like Jack, Martin, Cotchin, Rance and Deledio all play in the same side at once and it might soak into that noggin how unusual it is to have 5 once in a generation players playing in the same team.

All they needed was the handbrake released. Unfortunately for Lids it was released this year.

BTW you have been proven wrong on the quality of our list. The core of the 22 this year drawn from players on the list in 2013 and of course the key drivers remain the same.

It interesting though, don't you think?

Have you ever wondered how the coach could be so horrible yet the players still won 15 games in 2013 and 2015? How could that happen?

Can you explain it, given its your story?

What a list it was eh?

Was certainly wrong on the quality of this year's list and happy to admit it, but not on previous years. Not by a long shot.
