When will Bernie go !!

The Darkside have almost recovered from the shock and awe inflicted on them on Friday night. Now mounting a valiant rearguard action.

I fear it will ultimately be to no avail. Top marks for effort though.

1) the realists of PRE ask for an attacking game plan that better suits the players' strengths.

2) the game plan arrives and is attributed to ball movement coach Blake Caracella. at least a dozen players enjoy career best form. the RFC wins a QF.

3) the angsty fanbois of PRE ask for apologies.

Is Hardwick a great coach? No he is not but he has excellent support around him now and a much better list to “help” select from.

Geez, seriously?
Doubt there's been to many coaches of any sort of sports team that's ever been successful without a good team list to select from and excellent support from others.

Dimma doesn't need to be a great coach. He needs to be a good coach and an even better people manager. He needs to have a good to very good team list. He needs to have a strong and supportive admin backing him. He needs to have bloody good recruiters to build n refresh his team. He needs to have a bloody good fitness n rehab crew. Then to top it all off, he needs a healthy dollop of good luck.
With all those factors combining reasonably well you get 95,000 blowing the cobwebs out of the G and obliterating the Moggies, you get a home prelim n who knows, you might even get a flag to sing n dance about. Guarantee you won't get a sniff of it without having those factors combining.

Pretty sure we had an attacking game plan the year Carlscum bent us over n reamed us Baz. Didn't have a defensive game plan so Dimma tried to teach us one, still made finals for a couple of years but we ended up with a game style that was neither attacking enough or defensively capable of achieving anything better than reaching finals.
Last years nightmare was purely a constipated mess of injuries, list regeneration, lack of form n onfield trust where everything became stilted n reactive.

Clubs done a bit of laundry over summer in all departments n come out all fresh n fluffy in all aspects. Doubt I'll ever be an angsty fanboi or that I'll ever feel the need to ask you or others for an apology.
You n a few others who want to spend most of your footy time bleating, hating n blaming that we didn't win the last five flags or the next five flags in a row, go for it. If being constant misery guts rocks the boat for some, enjoy. I'd rather try to enjoy n savour the good days as much as possible n hope the crap ones *smile* off to the hazy miasma of the past as quickly as possible.

Haven't you noticed yet Baz? Every successful club has lots of needs, they fulfill them too, n that's the difference between the successful clubs n the rest of the losers.

2013 was about security through territory.

2014-16 was about security through possession.

2017 is about daring to score. through extreme frontal pressure. about losing the zone dimma so loved.

hardwick would never implement 2017 on his own. he was forced into it.

2017 is the culmination of all the aspects of the club bearing fruit after 7 years of hard grind and building on solid foundations!

Christ I'm surprised Hardwick can tie his own shoelaces considering the all consuming needs you say he has. That is one silly post but hey everybody is entitled to an opinion. :cutelaugh

Your a Trump supporter too right? ;D

Yeah heard that Baron and confirmed by Dimma when asked by BT on Talking Footy.

Dimma isn't in any rush. Will wait.

They joked that maybe there isn't much money cause they had to pay Dusty.

woah, extension talk after finally winning 1 finals game. have they started building the statue too?
Just wait RFC, wait imo. RFC get a premiership, then no-one would begrudge the club securing a successful premiership coach for longer. Just my view
I am expecting us to win the flag this year but job not done yet
