When will Bernie go !!

Still waiting for the list bashers to explain the career-best form of Astbury, Vlastuin, Grigg, Ellis, etc.

Not to mention the return of Cotch and the Dusty supernova just as we release the handbrake on ball transition.

The cheer squad on here really knows very little about football. They cheer very well though and they're good for atmosphere at the ground.

Go back to the rebuild thread Carts. Your "football knowledge" is there for all to see. You wanted to trade Dusty and Jack to accelerate the rebuild! Now you claim we have always had a top 4 list! You flip and flop so much you obviously confuse yourself. You have spewed so much crap over the year you are drowning in it. Your football knowledge is like the Loch Ness monster...a myth!!

BTW who you supporting in the finals?

I reckon snakes right leysy.

pretty much anything the misery crew have said from spring '16 - up to and including round 23, has been wrong.

some blokes have been louder and more self assured in their delivery of vast volumes of inverse information, but the core crew all have to accept they got it pretty darn wrong.

What's your view, Easy?

Apart from thinking, along with Blobbo, that Dimma is a genius.

A genius who changed the game plan at gun point after seven years of embarrassment.

Yeah you're right snake. Even though there's been alot of commentary about our much improved game plan, it's had nothing to do with the improvement in our duds.

Listening to Blame over recent weeks and even Rance earlier this week, there has been more calmness instilled in the group. Enjoyment put into playing out there.

Clearly we don't need a rebuild Tobes, I posited early in the year that we need more mids and young KPPs soon otherwise we will.

Always been bullish about our list. Still am. You need to manage the future too, just look at the Dogs this year.

I am absolutely on cloud nine to have a double chance and am super excited about what September might bring. We can win a flag!

Don't give a stuff what you think of my "knowledge". I am an average supporter who happens to dislike giddy fanboi blind faith.

Do you ever disagree with anything your brother says?

There is certainly some duos on PRE who provide unfailing support to each other - Snake and easy, baloo and brodders; laff and diggler; leysy and leysy

Look Tobes, Carts will flip and flop and try to move goalposts hither and yon, but the one constant in all his pontification is the "I know more about football than all of you lot" argument. He pops this out with minimal variation whenever the heat comes on.

It's a logical ploy that most of us realised wasn't very effective in grade three but for some reason he still thinks it's compelling.

And yet you are invariably the first to respond. Dunno about it being a grade three tactic, but you seem particularly sensitive to it.

We all know why :hihi

Wasn't the first to respond Baz. Probably the third. Blind Turn probably said it best and most succinctly though.

He's not. It's half truths. Straw men and diversionary tactics. I could go into detail. But what's the point?

Diversion from what? The long- held opinion that our game plan has stifled the players, since admitted by the club in the wake of our improved performance this year?

You mean that?

Running Patterns.

This is the key area of improvement that's seen us improve overall. There's been alot of commentary about our improved ball movement but it's running patterns that allows you to move the ball better and quicker.

I've complained for years that we are statues on the field. Standung and marking territory instead of running hard to support the ball carrier or to provide a release option upfield. It's all mindset and training patterns. You play as you train. It's about knowing where to run and when to run

In past years we would almost always hit a brick wall when moving the ball around due to a lack of release options. Players were static and reluctant / confused as to when and where to run. Dusty and Cotch would try to make the play but had nowhere to go.

Now we have players streaming off half back for a handball receive. We have players streaming into an open goal all the time. Watch our first goal last week and you can see running options everywhere in the lead up.

This change in running patterns didn't just happen coz the players are trying harder. Clear strategy to improve our running patterns occurred during last preseason.

I now see us playing modern football that not only is sustainable and can take us to the big dance, but one that will assist the development of players coming through.
