When will Bernie go !!

The hype around Richmond and Hardwick is really starting to concern me. I'm not a Dimma fan personally but I really hope he gets it together early in the season otherwise its going to be a complete circus that will be hard for anybody at Richmond to deal with. Add to this the Martin situation that threatens to de-rail the season early. Our performance last year has made us an easy target for the media and it seems to becoming a sport to bag out Richmond or put us down for fun amoungst some football people.

I am looking forward to round 1 as always but I'm also very nervous out of fear for my club....

Only Clarkson is a longer serving coach in the country. Given Hardwicks record it is natural the blowtorch be applied to him/us if we start slowly.

A change 12 months ago, or even in this off-season would cut most of that off at the pass and enabled us to continue building with the current generation.

We've hitched this build to Dimmer now though and if he does fail it has real potential to force a full rebuild and start again.

Brought it on ourselves unfortunately.

Yep.
The Caro article today says this is Dimma's last chance.
Clearly should have been given the heave ho long ago.
Good article, worth a read.

It's alive!!!

Gee, I think I've become allergic. First downer presser I've watched all pre season.

Amazing how out of the loop he is. Admitted Blake is in charge of ball movement and that he'll let everyone know what's happening with the leadership group as soon as he finds out (from Balmey?)

Same nervous twitches, laughs and throat clearing.

Absolutely nothing of value offered.

Practicing his presser drills for the 100 point flogging by GWS.

Think the man is sick, sounds like he has a chest infection or something..

I was pleased to hear both Dimma and leppa say in last few days that Blake is overseeing ball movement so I would expect that to change which is great news as last year was awful to watch, im more excited now for sure ;D

You look and listen but only see and hear what you want to be there.

Carcella will be head coach by years out.
Then we should just close down and join the VFL

Isn't 'ball movement' kinda the head coaches thing? As in it ties firmly in with tactics, structures etc?

He's not gonna last till the community cup weekend.

To be fair he's obviously been told to lay off triple gruntitude and these four walls so we had some relief.

wish I could take that 10:58 back. not entirely blaming Dimma on that one... the media are absolute nuff nuffs. although I did observe Dimma dropping names of people that weren't sacked and pumping up the crap out of them.

What did he say that was of any value?

He seems genuinely enthused and energised for what lies ahead. Has also seemed to embrace the change that swept through the footy dept late last yr. Big tick from me.

His point about Jack was also valid IMO. Poor, slow movement would mean that your forwards would be drawn out further from goal. Clearly the case with Jack.

Also indicated that players need to be freed up so that they can play to their strengths. Many pundits here have been banging on about the same thing.

If Dimma can learn from the mistakes of last yr and if ALL COACHES can preach the same message to players in a united fashion then maybe, just maybe we can bounce back very strongly.

Obviously Dimma is not comfortable in front of the camera but that of itself does not mean that he can't coach. TW anyone....

I can recommend a good film for you. "La La land"

He hasn't realised any of the things you give him credit for. He has been dragged kicking and screaming to a little place just outside 'Competence'.

Energised?? He looks and sounds like he just about to have dental surgery,

Can see it now, boy pursuing dream of premiership success with a football club known for destroying hopes and breaking hearts...... ;D

We obviously see things differently but I have a niggling feeling that we will improve significantly this yr.. If not, Dimma goes. Simple really.

Spot on!

Plenty of us waiting to let what happens on field unfold, rather than claim what we think is a fact.

I think we will improve this year too, but while loosening the handbrake helps, removing it is better.
