When will Bernie go !!

The Hardwick thread seems locked for some reason so I'll post this here. ???

Reckon Dimma has had the lowest profile of every coach in the AFL so far this off season.
Clearly a directive from somewhere. Smart business.
It's league wide though.
Senior coaches have been delegating to the assistants to do the talking.

Didn't Balme do the same thing with Bomber Thompson after Geelongs 2006/2007 review?

Absolutely agree, stops big boy month being January
Disappointed in this directive. Richmond has done all of it's best work in January and February for decades. It's our premiership era.

Good pickup - very true.

Muzzled.

Yep, haven't heard peep from hin since his sojourn in the US. Either muzzled or not interested? WOuld have expected a contrived interview on RFC.com by now at least giving an overview of what they have focused on over pre season etc.

Balmey is the new sheriff in town and I would expect the chief to give him a fair amount of autonomy over the footy department considering his experience.

Im guessing Balmey is managing a lot of the previously unmanaged...

Did he? 10 years is a long time in football Smokey!
My memory is not bad TOO. ;D

Thompson at the time was seen to be doing too much. From the review it was suggested he just concentrate on coaching and let the other stuff be delegated out.

I see the same thing has happened with Hardwick.

yeah but this has been the problem Aces! ;D

seems to be the problem isn't capacity, but outdated philosophies.

Maybe he is sulking because he has been told Blake Caracella will be in charge of the game plan this season!

God, damned if you do, damned if you don't round here.
Let the bloody chips fall where they may for christs sake.

Hardwick ex Essendon. Caracella ex Essendon. Once bitten twice shy so we do not want another repeat of Hardwick's aspirations that he can coach when he can not. Time we had a coach who had & always had his allegiance at Punt Road.

Bull *smile*.

Most senior coaches have been on the front foot with the media in recent weeks.

The hype around Richmond and Hardwick is really starting to concern me. I'm not a Dimma fan personally but I really hope he gets it together early in the season otherwise its going to be a complete circus that will be hard for anybody at Richmond to deal with. Add to this the Martin situation that threatens to de-rail the season early. Our performance last year has made us an easy target for the media and it seems to becoming a sport to bag out Richmond or put us down for fun amoungst some football people.

I am looking forward to round 1 as always but I'm also very nervous out of fear for my club....

its not really hype ct. It about 6 blokes on high rotation on the internet.

I wouldnt be concerned.

we win the first 5 games, and even those 6 will be asking why we havnt signed him until 2020 yet?

along with a few blokes feverishly waving their rainbow pom poms into the stratosphere :hihi

we're gonna be rubbish early doors. and hardwick will rightly be sacked.

with the shackles released, our kids will shine.
