Unfortunately he won't go soon enough to keep Martin.

Thanks Peggy Sue and Benny Fail!

If we have a start 2-4 or 3-9 Hardwick is gone. then Carcella will take over, then we win more then we lose, we finish 10th
They will give Carcella the top job and the cycle will go on for another 3 years before we want him gone too.
The club is cursed
How about a spoiler alert! Actually, I'm hoping for a twist, the plot outlined in your post has jumped the shark big time.

That is an interesting take Frenchy.

Dusty does have a good relationship with Handbrake.

Hardwick will in all likelihood be sacked if the season goes tits up , the media will be all over it pushing it.

In that case if Martins signature is going to be related to success then he will likely look elsewhere regardless.

Silly attempt at an anthropomorphic allusion, ET. Expect better of you. Not sure if bears can make a fist and they have these claws presenting problems with any gloves, let alone silk. You're also assuming a bear would ever wear one. Got my doubts overall.

i think youre right.

Is Bernie that bloke who hands out the muesli bars at training sometimes? I dont think he'll go. He's been saying he was off for years.

What we want at Punt Road is someone who has been there & can identify why Tigers are in such a pathetic situation after Frawley , Plough & now Dimma. Caracella is not in that situation so he is out. I would go for Newman ( a survivor when nobody thought he would survive for so long). Three year water tight contract with two year option depending on results. Tigers have been most of the time outsourcing the prime position at Punt Road since in house coaches Hafey & Jewel took the Tigers & fans to absolute Glory. Lets get back to those traditions where you earned the heart on your sleeve from the Club that gave you the chance .

Newman...Sam or Chris?

Sam would have been a better choice than the three stooges ( Bernie , Plough & The Spud ).
Yep.
What kind of a club would appoint a coach with NO senior coaching experience, whatsoever?
Only a dumb club run by dumb people,
that's RFC for the last 3 decades.

The Bullies did alright with Beveridge.

He began his coaching career in the Victorian Amateur Football Association competition where he coached St Bede's Mentone Tigers to the C, B and A Grade premierships in consecutive seasons.

My point exactly.
Beveridge had plenty of senior coaching experience prior to getting the senior coaching position at the Bulldogs.
He even took some of his helpers from his senior coaching days with him to the Bulldogs.

We had the Geek, Spud Plough & Dimma with all the ticks yet where are the Tigers after them. Only ticks the Tigers got from them are cattle ticks. Newman has been in the system long enough to what makes a coach. If he does not Hawkers are wasting their time with him on their books.

Beveridges only senior coaching experience was at Hawthorn as a assistant coach 2012/2014. Senior coaching is at the top level not some back water club like St Bede's at Mentone.

Errrr, think you'll find they are one of the biggest and the most professionally run mobs (during bevos days anyway) going around the VAFA. A damn sight better run, coached and more succuessful than Frankston who were in the VFL.

Coaching is coaching. He served his apprenticeship and made every post a winner. The Hawthorn job was the icing on the cake. Bevo had the talent to coach senior AFL from day one. you could always see it. Thats what we need. Someone who knows what they are on about.

Dimma has parts of it. Clarko and Bevo are the full package in terms of their skillsets (albetit one mre experienced and successful than the other at present).
Lethal was the full package.
Woosha is the full package.

We need one of these types - Dimma is too (read: comfortable) old to learn new tricks. Having said the playing list is in much better shape now than when he arrived. CAnt argue with that - but he aint got the full package to take us all the way IMO.... but what do i know?

Senior coaching is senior coaching.
Senior coaching is not being an assistant at the Hawks.
Clarkson had senior coaching experience as well before the began at Hawthorn.
Even the late great Tommy Hafey did his senior coaching apprenticeship at Shepparton.

The fools who run this club can't even read a CV.
Appointing a rookie senior coach.
Appointing a rookie head of football.
No wonder RFC is on a road to nowhere.

Correct, lamby, which is why some anointing Caracella concerns me. What team has he ever coached?
