Book mark it Caracalla to replace Buckley , hardwick two year extension, I called the last extension November before they offered it.

Sounds like a plan

Disagree.

We are the only club that reliably disappoints just when we're set to take a big step forward.
From memory the last time we took a big step forward was 1980, since then we've just been shuffling around in ever decreasing circles.

Yep.

I think the most concerning thing is im not sure with the list we have whether we are as close to the top as many think we are. Yes it's a young team but how good really is the youth we have? Who will step up to provide the necessary support to the big 4? It's been a problem forever, from when the big 4 was Richo, Knights, Campbell and Broderick through to now. The quality coming through just isn't high enough. Recruiting, recruiting recruiting.

That's right Carn.

Forgot that.

Jack was in the back line that first part of the first???

What was going on there?

And he was off early on ( bench )?

So true TM. Their actions have a foul odour/stench.

Perhaps he's physically shot after having to do so much heavy lifting?

Gotta say, under dimmas watch, we've had some quite embarrassing losses.
Reckon he'd have at least a dozen embarrassing losses

Unfortunately as we are still in the finals hunt we can't sack Hardwick until we miss the finals or get smashed in our final. That automatically puts us behind the Pies and Gold Coast and possibly North in looking for a new coach.

Wouldn't be surprised given that Bucks gave his swansong in yesterday's presser. Definitely gone. It's all waiting time until season ends now.

I am curious about the Cornes statement and Dimmas response.
Cornes suggested we had gotten ahead of ourselves and Dimma got upset, saying he is piaid to write that rubbish.
But, in my view, getting ahead of ourselves was exactly what happened last night.
No crime in that. It needs to be admitted, if so, and addressed.
What do others think.?
There had to be a reason why the whole side was not switched on.
Unless there is another undisclosed reason, then they had gotten ahead of themselves.

We should already have a contract in front of our next coach, or at least be talking to them.

This idiot should look in his own backyard first. Why make a comment like that during a match? Probably more blame to Ch 7 for showing it, but then again, we continue to be the puppets of the media.

Its a media circus.

I'd love it if Balmey, or Benny just went "No media. None. No interviews, no pressers, nothin'"

I know, I know, its contractually and commercially impossible.

But I still love the idea.

Kane Cornes *smile* twitter on TV? For *smile* sake

The comment is click bait pure and simple.

How many sides have been written up as premiership favourites over the last dozen weeks or so

The comp is a week by week proposition at the minute, every side gets a belting if they are not 100 % on their game.

As for most of the commentators its about getting followers and drawing attention to themselves.

There is no such thing as journalism any more just one guy or another trying to out do each other and grab the headline.

If its not kane Cornes it will be any of many..........

Its to be reported that we have mistakenly sent out that new contract to Dimmer! :pullhair :brickwall

Actually I don't agree with the few posts in response to mine.
I have just read Cornes response and I think he is spot on.
I know he has history, but what he says is in my view very reasonable and the exact conclusion I came to.
I think Hardwick was in a foul mood and did not like the suggestion the team had got ahead of themselves, taking it as a slight.
It is not. It is an accurate observation and explanation for an unacceptable poor game. Really very poor.
And as Cornes says, quite rightly, we have been poor for ten years. Thirty in truth.

Don't think that inside the club the expectation changes as radically as it does with all those on the outside.

The only people pumping us up are the so called pundits just like they will all knock us down this week.

Kane Cornes is just trying to make anime for himself end of story.

Jack looked distressed at some point as well, early in the game, He looked physically okay later and he can't have blown up that early. Our guys were wearing black armbands. Anyone know why? There's no excuses, but that may be an explanation for the behaviour, because it was weird that the team went in with a collective mindset of 'can't give a sh!t.'

Black armbands -
Maddie Riewoldt..?

Regardless of who was right or wrong I was happy to see Hardwick get angry in defense of his players. They're his boys and when some knob has a go in public then I glad Dimma showed his displeasure to the point of suggesting he'd like to sort him out.

The players might just be embarrassed and respectful that their performance triggered the need for their coach to defend them in such an aggressive manner. All in all not a bad thing all round. On this point I'd have to say a heart felt 'Well done Dimma.'

Do not think Caracella will get Cold Pies hot seat as they will most probably in house with either Burns ,Lockyer & dark horse Rocca. Another to be considered who is not in house at the moment is Nick Maxwell at Giants.
