When will Bernie go !!

Fickle nature of the human condition never ceases to amaze me.

Reason we lost yesterday is that we had a number of 5 foot toddlers playing in the forward 50 against a physically mature defence, no ruck cover and no 2nd KF.

All eggs were put in the Hammer and Griffiths basket at the beginning of the season and unfortunately this has proved to be a poor list management decision.

Dimma has actually coached well this season when you consider the cattle at his disposal. This is a direct result of poor recruiting decisions in the past.

Throw a Lynch or Wright into the team and we would be flag favourites sitting on top of the ladder right now.

Well said

lynch , Wright, woulda coulda shoulda. We haven't got them because (as you say) we plumped for serial crocks and underpeformers in Hampy and Griff. That's sh!t list management.

And because of sh!t list management we have, as you say, 5" footers in the forward line. Then who is responsible for a game plan that results in bombing kicks into the forward line that continually got marked by tall Swan defenders?

Who is responsible for the continued scenario of betting a good lead only to squander it?

Who is responsible for continually being unable to hold on to small leads in the dying minutes of the game?

The COTY?

Good questions.

The coach is still learning though.

Something strange Hardwick mentioned when being interviewed on SEN last week.

Was asked why the leadership group was reduced to 3 this year.

He struggled to come up with an answer and asked for more time. Would have though he would have known and could immediately answer the question.

Anyway, minor in the overall scheme of things.

Poor coach. Good list. Poor structure.

Recipe for ninth.

The biggest issue is poor leadership and has been for some time. Peggy Sue and Benny Fail just don't have the bullocks to sack *smile* when it should of happened 3 years ago

Point of order.....Conca ahead of Lynch in 2010 and CEllis behind Wright in 2014. Point sill stands though i.e. we have a 2nd quality tall in our F50 and we are contenders.

As early as last week we were being lauded for implementing a game plan both enjoyable to watch and highly competitive. A far cry from 2017. Thanks for proving my point re fickleness of the human condition. Sometimes what happens further up the ground influences what the ball carrier does with the ball.

Youthful inexperience.

Right up there in considerations IMO.

If we miss the 8 he goes . If we scrape in but lose another elimination game he goes . These have to be non negotiable

Youthful inexperience? What do you mean by that? We've been losing games after getting out to big leads and unable to hold on to small leads in the dying minutes for 6 seasons now!

Youthful inexperience equals inconsistency. Has always been the case TT.

AFL is a ruthless game. As much as i have admired the way Dimma and the club have responded to a disastrous 2016 I would tend to agree with the above.

One week at a time though.

You don't think we've had enough opportunities and time to learn how to get out to big leads and keep them? And hold onto to small leads in the dying minutes over the last 6 or so seasons?

Why is it other teams with "youthful inexperience" aren't so regularly inept at these 2 facets of the game?

We will lose another EF if we happen to make it. Hardwick doesn't know what scoreboard pressure means.

I wonder what the respective ages/games played averages were for our 4 close losses? Any chance LTR?

Not sure what the mindset of the players is when the coach has now said on two separate occasions that essentially we are not good enough. I don't understand these comments from Dimma if we are good enough to get 6 goals up on a side in a quarter and a bit why can't we push on to actually bury sides ;D

Hahahaha

Two years ago the pass mark was a finals win according to aunt peg, flopped again, what did she do?

Extend the contract, strap in boys another contract extension is on the cards after all he us the coach of the year

Spoke like a loser at the presser yesterday. Great to hear we've put a cap on performance. Loser mentality is replicated by his team on the park. The loser would have to be one of the worst game day coaches going around. Doesn't have a response to when other coaches change things up during a game. Can't think on his feet as all preparation is done throughout the week and doesn't deviate much from it. It's too process driven with no room to make significant change during a game. Hardwicks team of drones just concede defeat.

Coach of the year my arse.

Hardwick should be given a please explain from the AFL after once again saying we are not a team that wins by big margins. He is the coach and players should play how he wants them to play, so is Hardwick instructing players to keep the opposition in the game. Match fixing by Hardwick lets check Hardwick's gambling accounts.

All Australian Damien has done a fantastic job with the train wreck of a list he has.
