Welcome to Tigerland - Tim Taranto

Sorry people but we paid too much for 2 B grade footballers IMO. Also because they are our A team midfielders it has thrown our side right put of balance. Not convinced full stop!

More disposals, fewer clangers than Oliver and same disposal efficiency. Are we expecting too much from him?
yes. He is an in and under mid.

He fluffs the odd kick but seriously he had 33 and 10 tackles last night. IMO was not just our best but BOG

Some people just want to find fault. We should be far more concerned at the form of Bolton and Prestia than we are with our two new boys

We more than matched it with probably the best midfield in the comp last night, without a recognized ruckman. I think the two new boys are going ok…

B Grade??
They influenced the games of both Petrecca and Oliver,
both Tarranto and Hopper were in the best players on the ground.
Not sure what flute you were playing during the game

Yep…. Add in equal most clearances and centre clearances, most pressure acts and most contested possessions on the ground. Heck of a game. Needs more help

With every week he is blending in.
He is getting use to the crowds and the noise and he is becoming more controlled.
He was really good last night.

Not the most effective kick, but still thought he was our best last night. Was in everything everywhere.

Seems that Corne’s opinion has even permeated the minds of some Richmond supporters.
He’s been an unqualified success for us in his first 6 games. Hopper not far behind.
Put the papers down and watch the game fellas.
He can’t be doing much more other than tidying up his disposal

Amen. I mentioned this earlier people are being blinded by the draft picks and not the output these two are showing on the park.

Agree. These two are going well although Taranto's lack of kicking skill is frustrating. But I thought these two would be the icing; unfortunately they are carrying the load on their own. The other two you have mentioned have been massive disappointments this season.

i think Bolton has been better the last two weeks playing more midfield minutes. Prestia on the other hand.. what on earth is going on with him? I can understand that he’s getting less ball and contested possessions because he has help in there with the two new boys, that’s not the issue. The issue is how fumbly he has been and his poor kicking and decision making. He’s been at a very high standard for us for most of his time at the club, so his form slump is standing out unfortunately

Agree and how the hell did Viney win the medal? He wasn’t in the best 4 on the ground.

I think the better question is, how badly would our season be going without Tarranto?? We would be odds on fav's for the wooden spoon right now and winless.

And Presita is only half the player he was.

Win the game and Tarranto wins the medal, huge game by him, has the coaches votes:

Melbourne v Richmond

9 Tim Taranto (RICH)
6 Jack Viney (MELB)

Can you imagine the midfield with Hopper and Taranto? Terrifying thought. And both stood up against the premier midfield in the comp.
