Welcome to Tigerland - Tim Taranto

Tarantino and Hopper have played 7 games with their new team. They need more games to start to achieve that innate understanding of what their team mates will do in certain situations, and vice versa. This doesn't happen overnight.

We're already starting to see signs that it's coming together. No doubt by the end of the year we'll be happy with what True Romance have brought to the table.
Except for that 5 year old brat from Sth Australia.

He's been good, no doubt.
Just wished he could get into more goal scoring positions.
(same can be said about his mate Dennis as well).
Quentin has kicked 2 Goals.
Dennis 3.
That's not enough given the coin they are on.

As a comparison Titch kicked 15 last year.
They might kick 15 between them.
They really should be aiming to kick 20+ each IMHO.
Edwards played as a forward last year.. and apart from your Dusty’s, Bont’s and Petracca’s, tell me which other midfielders kick 20+ goals per season:rolleyes:

Yeah. And imagine if we have to re build with kids the next few Drafts and we didn’t have players like him and Hopper to take the load off them a bit ? How much harder would it be ?
Exactly. We'd be back to the dark days of 2010. At least there's a nucleus of very good players to lead us through a rebuild.

Yeah. Maybe…shock …horror….the club actually got it right with TT and Hops whether we contended or not ?

Amazing isn’t it.

We definitely needed quality midfielders who could win clearance and we now have two. They're very good players. We've also now got a ten-year offensive and mobile ruckman in Ryan, Balta and Gibcus as keys for down back, Rioli, Short, Baker as solid citizens and Bolton thrown in as the X factor.

To help bridge the gap for the next two years while we trade, draft and free agency to properly rebuild the list, we desperately need the older guys to step up and play better. Fair enough, Jack and Cotch go this year, but many of the other experienced players aren't too old in age number, just playing well below the level. Get fit and play better. Set the platform to properly contend.

He'd be leading our BnF quite comfortably at the moment. Been a great pick-up. The problem has been most things around him have gone to the dogs.
Has to be made captain next year. Grimes and Nank should never have been chosen. Thought it was a crap decision at the time, and it’s looking worse than ever 18months later

If we didn’t have them we’d be worse than North right now with the injuries. We need them beyond this year. It’s the gap RCD, Dow, Higgins, Naish, Coleman-Jones and Corey Ellis have left. Thats why we are still lacking midfield depth.

Wouldn't be helping that we have had so many players out and less consistency in those around Tarranto and Hopper.

They have been great and will only get better, only hope we can develop our young players and get back to being a competitive team over the next few years.

Tim’s on schedule to have the biggest margin B n F win in RFC history. Also top 10 Brownlow finish

It may not take much - first key will be older senior players regaining form and/or fitness (from the 30-32 year olds) & Lynch staying fit at all costs. Plus we need 2-3 of the younger players to jump out like Ryan has. In addition to Gibcus, I suspect it may be a couple from left field - Campbell as one example.

The thing that stands out for me.
The way he starts a game he finishes the game.
He never stops running.
He is 1000 times better then Cerra, who wouldve cost us the same.
It's a pity the rest a over weight and badly unfit.

Lynch should’ve been captain after Cotch stepped down
Id prefer Baker or Shorty as captain in 2024

With hindsight, the signs were there early when he was leaving everyone else for dead in the preseason time trials.

If it’s true that he chose Richmond over Collingwood to try and chase a flag… you gotta feel sorry for the bloke.

100% right, he shouldve been the one to return struggling.
The rest have let the club down. Apologies to Rioli Baker & Short.
The rest look unfit.
