Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

Looks good when he has got the ball, not so good when he's trying to get the ball. He doesn't go hard enough at the ball at times.
Would like to see Short given a shot at his position.

Jayden was drafted as a forward wasnt he.

Has Short got the wheels to be a havoc small forward , i dare say hed be a lot safer kicking at goal than George.

As I've said before he is a fumbling weak footballer. He does not body the ball and cannot tackle effectively and enough happy to see him dropped

you don't say it after he has a good game. Had an inconsistent year, sometimes fumbling, sometimes not, weak is wrong. Happy for him to be backed.

Yep. No point dropping the mozzies now with just 2 games left. I'll be looking forward to these 3 more next year.

Maybe at times, but seeing he had 6 effective tackles today he did a sight more than some of his teammates in that regard. Down a bit today and he has plenty of room for improvement. Can play.

I'm with you snake. Reckon Betts would have looked garbage in our forward line today. Our forward 50 entries were either, bomb the ball forward on the head of one of our smalls (easy to defend) or kick a shallow ball into the F50 (between 40-50m out) and generally not the advantage of our forwards, allowed easier rebound. When we play our best, we have deep entries, bring the ball to ground and let the mozzies play. Also with his pace and the big ground next week, reckon he could have a great game against Freo. Certainly the type of ground that would suit him.

some posters lose their heads at the drop of a hat, fair dinkum pathetic.

The forward unit has worked extremely well this season and his a major part of it, however I'm not much of a fan as the seasons gone on, seems to panicky an fumbly to me , in saying that his improved heaps, but I'm off the Butler wagon at this point.

Was he briefly KO'd in the second quarter, or was he staging?
Was definatly dazed, shoulder got him in the head.

Definatly think there's better options then Butler in Short, Stengle and Bolton, Short has the advantage of match fitness , the other two have me tricks, however can't stay in a game as long as Short can. Highly doubt Butler will go out, which is fair enough his part of a unit that has been some sought of revelation this year.

Geezer copped a fairly huge crunch early in the game, thought his efforts were o.k. Simply had one of those days where the ball wouldn't sit for him, the amount of times he looked to be ready to pounce n the pointy freaking thing went sideways or dribbled when it should have bobbled was cruel.

It's easy for me to be critical of him from the keyboard, but I thought when he let the ball bounce instead of attacking it in the second was a massive point in the game, should have turned into a goal for us against the flow, however ball went up the other end for a goal to the Cats. Harsh call but I'm just continuing to see flaws I don't like in a small forward. Hope he gets back to the good footy he played earlier in the year.

Yeah was a big play. One of a few where we looked like we were out only to stuff it up

Lacks the confidence that he belongs.
He is fast but apart from pressure acts, not bringing much else at the moment.
I think we can drop him and still have the forward pressure, but will more attacking presence and goals.
Dimma won't drop him at spacious Subi, but the kid has been figuratively begging for a rest for some time.

We forget he is just 21 and has played 18 games. Total. Perspective is required.

I've only watched the second half but we were pressured into kicking the ball up in the air. No surprise the mozzies couldn't get into the game.

We need to break the lines and run the ball up the ground for the small forward line to work effectively. Geelong didn't let us do that.

Yet Broad gets a bricking after decent solid performances and he has only played 7 games and is playing in defence which is much less forgiving.

Same perspective might be required there to.

Don't like that he is easily pushed off the ball.

Fix that alone and he can be a star.

Got some cheapies but overall had a very poor month.

Would give him a full weeks spell and bring in Shai for the trip back home to WA.

No chance he gets dropped playing at Subiaco. The mosquito brigade will be in full swing on that deck over there. I reckon Bolton will play too.
