Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Pickett and Kmac are locks on the wings.

They showed footage of the cats game how grimes zoned off his opponent to help Balta with Hawkins and who was there sprinting off the defensive wing to cover Grimes's man? Pickett. This is exactly what Dimma wants from his wings, not 20+ disposals.
Exactly. People get all wound up about stats. This has never been a requirement. It’s all about playing your role. The most important role these two play is blocking up the corridor. Making the opposition go down the wings.

And they make the fat side a non-option so sides can't switch it. Critical to our turnover game.

Spot on Haz. He has a great tank - pushes hard into defence and then provides an option on the rebound. Imagine what these soft opposition wingers like Menegola, Hill, McCluggage, Duursma etc would be thinking having to come up against either Pickett or McIntosh. Not keen!!

Great defensive game on the wing. Had 7 tackles - mostly run down tackles
he lurked with malicious intent a few times..... waited for the delivery to his man and then came crashing through

They also are the ones who run back defensively into the defensive fat side. If the ball comes down one side the winger on the other side runs defensively into the space to provide defensive cover or an outlet for the switch if we get the ball.
Playing wing for Richmond requires a massive tank.

I'm more comfortable with our wing combination right now than I have been in four years.

Even considering out last four years.

Would be crazy to change it now.

Agree it would be crazy to break that synergy now. It has probably been our most stable position throughout the whole season why change something that ain't broke.

I don’t believe you should try an fix what’s not been broke , and the playing of 2 hard tough defensive wingman has worked well this season , however I’d rather go with Kmac and a ball magnet type on the other wing ( not sure who yet ;) ) . Fair enough that many will disagree as there’s lots to like about Pickett, however has way too many disappearing times in games for me , I’d be happy to let him go to Freo at seasons end and let another player make the wing his own

Pickett started the game like a house on fire. But once he got caught up in the scuffles and gave up the 50, he dropped off.

He goes missing in every game and when he starts kicking, god help us
Ross Broad and caddy are all better options

Ezy jr was at the game.

He understands the game very well

He said pickett was our best over 4 quarters

Seen enough, rather caddy who can at least hit a target and can play up forward.

Complete liability by foot and I almost broke my tv when he went to bump in the last quarter. Just knew it would cost us a goal.
