Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

I have some kind of crazy goggles on with Marlion.

when people see no good, I see good,

and vice versa.

I thought he acutely mistimed an ordinary game tonight.

He was ordinary tonight, but that tackle was like a guy literally running into a brick wall

He was quiet, did some good, some bad. Tackle was great. His defensive running is great, will it be enough to keep him in.

RFC are a good side. Marlion is not playing badly in his first year of AFL but he is in the bottom four, So at the selection table for RFC each week of the final series it will be him or Josh (assuming Caddy isn't otherwise required for forward duties as Tom is back). Kudos to McIntosh in 2020 for taking the number one spot for the two wing positions.

Yeh other than the tackle he was pretty average. But I don’t think he’ll be dropped.

Whilst loathe to look at stats he had 8 disposals with 4 turnovers and 1 score involvement. Not great numbers.

I thought it was the worst game hes played in a Richmond jumper.

maybe he was just keeping out of trouble pre-finals.

They won't drop him, hes a proven big game player (his VFL gf was stunning)

He will shred this final series.

Plays the team game nicely n brings a large share of nasty heat to opposition players.
Most coaches n all the media dribblers struggle to understand how we can b so good with such low possession scrambly chaos footy year on year.
Players like Fish, Nank, Cotch, Grub, Fridge etc etc etc are our steel baseball bat players. They batter opposition sides into submission with constant pressure and intimidation.
There was a time when Glenn Archer said of us, that it didn't matter what the score was or what stage of the game. Put some pressure on Richmond and they fold, you're never out of a game against them.
Dimma's done a magnificent job of changing that over the years. Now we're the ones that bring the pressure n we're virtually never out of a game.

I'm more comfortable with our wing combination right now than I have been in four years.

Even considering out last four years.

Would be crazy to change it now.

Thought he was much better defensively (now tackling instead of bumping) but poorer offensively, whereas previously IMO it was the other way around.

Pickett could end up having a bizzarro season. Last year played zero games then made the GF. This year he played nearly all the sames but could be dropped for the big one

I thought defensively he was brilliant last night. I don't think he's a great disposer of the ball, misses a lot of targets so for me if he has a really good night defensively that's a big win for us. I felt like he chose his moments better tonight on tackling versus bumping. Laid some ripper tackles.

wonder if they’ll make a doco on it?

Pickett and Kmac are locks on the wings.

They showed footage of the cats game how grimes zoned off his opponent to help Balta with Hawkins and who was there sprinting off the defensive wing to cover Grimes's man? Pickett. This is exactly what Dimma wants from his wings, not 20+ disposals.

His kicking isn't to bad sometimes just rushes them of boot needs to look up and access options.
