Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

He will divide fans with his performance.....The one thing I really like about him is even late in games he is getting to contests and getting back helping out in the backline and then still pushing fwd. Must have a good tank. Still has some things to tidy up but he is the type u take to the big dance... as we saw last year. Can do the impossible when needed.

Tackle. Don't bump. Or if you're going to bump, commit to it and split the opposition player down the middle. No half arsed efforts.

Agree. Baker saved his arse in that bit of play.

But apart from that he had a very good game.

He's clearly running the defensive patterns and shutting down oppo ball use... coaching staff will love that

That’s the only thing that at times takes his game up a notch.

But I do love him as a player.

He’s nearly always in the picture, which means his patterns and structure are close to spot on.... he’s an interesting cat to watch

May be stupid to say about a 28 yr old but I think Marlion is still adjusting to AFL footy. Game 15. Still doing the odd mistake but I also think each week, bit by bit, he’s feeling he belongs at this level.

Pickett's grand final was a great story, but we could have selected anyone from our 40 man squad for that game and still won.

I don't understand why people are still trying to downgrade his GF performance or even bothering to bring it up as an argument. Fact is he played his first senior game and was better than a lot of his more experienced teammates on the day. That's nothing to be sneezed at and cast off.

I have championed his stoppage ability from day dot and still can't believe we aren't using him there, not even in spurts.

Anyway the guy is a finals machine and you can sense he is growing week after week. He did some amazing "almost" things tonight like almost picking off that kick in the last quarter, and his pressure both ways is frightening.

Did his family come up? With his family in the hub he'll grow even more.

Can't wait.

Chill pill mate, look at the context of what I said.

I was only responding that Stack had more influence on 2019 than Pickett.

Thought tonight was huge for him. Big game and he was clean, swooping in and out of traffic. Liked it a lot.

Levelling up.

Correct ant

he and kmac on the wings are like guard dogs in a car yard.

with their pace and endurance they defend the wings and don't let the oppo an easy switch or easy possession in the open spaces

if people are looking for stats they won't find them here

dimma would be delighted with marlion

I think there was a game stat that showed the top 5 speed players of which he was 2nd.

I know there has been commentary on his aparrent lack of it so I was with glee when that stat popped up.

He’s coming in to top form just at the right time of year. Top performances against Wet Coke and Geelong is not too shabby
