Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Was a bit critical earlier on but I reckon he's been great the last couple of games. Has settled into the wing position which seems to suit him well.

Yeh, he got the 5 votes from me last game. He is a mix of ballet and brutality at times. If he can add some composure with his delivery he'll become a real weapon.

Marlion is what now, 29?
Hope the club is spending some time getting him looking into the future and what comes next.
Unfortunately it's not likely to be an overly long ride for him so we have an obligation to make sure he has the tools to deal with the end of it.

I've been happy with his season as a whole. The expectations after the GF were much too high + the grind of week to week senior footy was always going to be his biggest challenge. The last 6 weeks however we have seen him amp up at a time we really needed him to in the middle. I love watching him. He can come across as quite casual - but thats his style. he is a bit like Edwards - Sheeds can look like that with his creative handballs, very casual - but extremely effective & creative. See's the game at a different speed than most. . Marlion is the same but with his kicking. We haven't really seen those 2 pair up yet, I cannot wait to see the results there

There's a book on the way, from memory it's going to be out before the end of the year. Hopefully he makes a motza out of it, I'll be buying a copy thats for sure.

Well might be more Freo's issue to help him than ours considering they are aparantly right into him.

Strong whisoers he could well be off at seasons end.

Likewise I hope he makes a killing off the book, and if he does get forced to leave the RFC due to an offer he cannot refuse hopefully he goes with fond memories of the RFC and 2 premiership medals.

Lets just see how reality plays out amongst the rumors.

I flicked through it at the bookshop trying to decide if I should buy it, and inadvertently read the whole thing.

Interesting. That rumour is not circulating in Perth.

Would love him to play more midfield mins against the Cats this week.

We need more clearances going our way to put their backline , especially Taylor & Henderson under immense pressure.

If he left, I would be exceptionally disappointed. Seriously, what is the point in taking a risk on these damaged "tough life" blokes like Stack & Pickett if they are not prepared to then be loyal & respectful to the club which took the chance? If both were to be gone within 2 years due to either a better deal or gross negligence, then i wouldn't be inclined to take another risk with that type again. Rather we took risk on blokes like Aarts, Short Baker who stay loyal & respectful for the long haul ride

The drafting of Pickett has already paid off IMO. He’s already a DUAL PREMIERSHIP player with Richmond. Soon to be triple.... :p

Look, taking a 27 and a half yr old was a long shot. He’ll be 29 for season 2021. Odds are he’s got 40-ish games of AFL footy in him from seasons 2021/22. It’s ok.
