Are we getting laughed at again? I can see the word 'stalemate' mentioned for other possible deals but zero on Hopper, and whenever it does come up, some idiot comes out with "it will be done, it will be done"....

The valid reason is our best strategy is to force GWS to face their BATNA square on and look it in the eyes. Which is get not much if anything for him next year and potentially have a player who is Pretty annoyed with his club. Potentially they violate their salary cap and have to renegotiate contracts in a terrible negotiation position. The only way for us to do this is to wait until the deadline is almost upon us.
Our BATNA is a weaker midfield next year and I guess keeping soldo and draft currency and potentially annoy hopper and his management. Not the end of the world vs GWS.

If GWS are after O’Meara then Hopper is definitely on his way.
