The same thing they do every year, they are notoriously difficult to work with & rarely lose out on these blockbuster deals.WTF are GWS doing??? They're asking about O'Meara now? Pulling us as they go....dog on a leash.
They have 4-5 years of value still to come and their assets are diminishingThe same thing they do every year, they are notoriously difficult to work with & rarely lose out on these blockbuster deals.
Making the RFC sweat that they wont get their man, so we get desperate and overpay.WTF are GWS doing??? They're asking about O'Meara now? Pulling us as they go....dog on a leash.
Sure but if we weren't so wrapped up in this wild goose chase we could have left Hopper to the Cats, taken on Bowes & moved up to pick 2. If North takes Cadman then that is the risk you take but Sheezel is fine as a fall-back option. They have 4-5 years of value still to come and their assets are diminishing
Most disappointing thing is i can see Cadman asking for a trade to Geelong in 3-4 years time
He does if he wants to be the #1 ruck playing seniors each week.soldo is contracted too! you think soldo wants to go to GWS?
stuffed up as in we have plenty of HBF and not plenty of rucks...... would have preferred to trade a position we have lots of cover for. now people are already talking about us needing to find another ruck backup, cause we let our contracted ruck back up leave.....
Makes you wonder at times. I suppose the desperation from us is to have 2 ready-made mids and that became the priority......who knows what/how they're thinking.Sure but if we weren't so wrapped up in this wild goose chase we could have left Hopper to the Cats, taken on Bowes & moved up to pick 2. If only we had known that the AFL were going to change the rules AGAIN.Sure but if we weren't so wrapped up in this wild goose chase we could have left Hopper to the Cats, taken on Bowes & moved up to pick 2.
I get it, loads of time has gone into facilitating these trades but I think in committing early we've missed a huge window to improve our draft hand.Makes you wonder at times. And allowing now clubs to trade multiple F picks…If only we had known that the AFL were going to change the rules AGAIN.
We had already committed to Hopper and his manager when the AFL allowed the Bowes salary cap dump to be done.
It would not have been prudent to pull out of our commitment to Hopper and his manager.
Lets agree to disagree on this oneSure but if we weren't so wrapped up in this wild goose chase we could have left Hopper to the Cats, taken on Bowes & moved up to pick 2. If North takes Cadman then that is the risk you take but Sheezel is fine as a fall-back option.
But if you don’t do the early work you can miss out on players. The early work done with Lynch got that deal over the line.I get it, loads of time has gone into facilitating these trades but I think in committing early we've missed a huge window to improve our draft hand.
I reckon if the Cats take Hopper there would have been a squeeze, it wouldn't have been too difficult to beef up the Bowes contract I would imagine, the other clubs sniffing were all outside of the 8, I reckon we could have been in poke position.Lets agree to disagree on this one
Bowes had the choice where he goes and clearly the cats have done the work as Bowes had 5 other options and he made that selection and was not upto the clubs. He probably see's his chances of playing beyond 2024 higher at the cats than the other teams
