Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

I had Taranto at 5, I thought Hugh McCluggage was the standout that year with McGrath at 2. Hopper I had at 5 also, so I definitely rated him, I just don't feel the outlay justifies the benefits at this particular juncture. Given he's a free agent next year I think I would have handled things a bit differently.

I think there maybe a few surprises left.
Maybe Blair won’t leave the cupboard so bare as things presently look.

Tarranto & Hopper are better players then Mcluggage now

Any changes to interchange rotation numbers?
What happens with a concussion sub?
Totally inconsistent management
Leave most clubs in the dark and spring up new rules as pre season begins.

This was Hocking ammo.

Some clubs would have got a heads up for sure as will some this year about the extension of the interchange bench to 5. Heck there is rumours swirling about this but nothing from the AFL.

Media should press hard.

Clubs need to look at their lists and what they do.

Amateur AFL

It’s been well documented that the reason Bowes picked Geelong was because they had shown interest in trading for him during the year before the salary dump option was even thought of. It’s the only place he can go without feeling like the steak knives
I would argue that the reason they had shown interest in trading for him during the year was that they were the only ones who knew the salary dump option was coming. Courtesy of their CEO who was formerly head of footy ops at the AFL and who had knowledge of such details of player contracts.

reminds me of Richmond in 2001... thinking we were in the window and topping up. they won't have any draft picks for 2 years. they are in for a world of pain.
According to King & Cornes they have nailed this draft.

Let's not forget they've got that biggest little man Charlie Dixon, I'm sure he's just about to enter his prime. Add in a sooky mid and a flakey half forward and bang - premiership contention.

At least with the addition of H-F they've increased their onfield bogan quotient

True. But they need to decrease it, he is just adding to their Bogan imbalance. It is, after all, a National competition, not a South Australian one.

Robbie Gray will be a huge loss for them, i know he struggled through last year, but so did Port.

And the only free agent forward left for next year is Hipwood.

We will free up a lot of cash over the next couple of year.

Cotch and Jack (albeit on low wages, Tarrant, Pickett and Grimes probably all retire (or in the cases of the latter 2, signed on reduced contracts). Prestia and Martins contracts expire and they probably sign again on significantly less.

I don't think we will go after a FA next year, but in 2024, the likes of Todd Marshall come out of contract. I'd be all over him. Turns 26 in 2 years time, in line with that same age bracket that a lot of our up and comers are, Rioli, Balta, Short, Taranto, Hopper, Baker, Bolton, Graham, Miller, all within that core age group of 25-29.

If this trade is not sorted soon I may be forced to check trade radio. That could end badly
