Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

Im emotional
Good luck opposition clubs winning the ball from the centre square .
Teams will need to score from Def 50.
That GWS finals game they were both 1 & 2 BOG was against a Dogs midfield with the ability of Bontempelli, Dunkley, Hunter, Lipinski, Macrae and Smith.

They are going to make life easier for Prestia, Dusty and Cotch for winning the ball. And a guy like Shai is going down to the 5th/6th best midfielder instead of getting the 3rd/4th.

Unders like wtf , what deal has completed that suggests that, I’d go as far as saying they got overs compared to everything else going down, example refer dunkley
Tanner Bruhn pick 18. Ollie Henry 25 if it happens.

Dunkley deal hasn't been completed yet. It will be.

Hopper deal agreed. Hopper and GWS future 3rd for Future 1st, 31 and Soldo.

Soldo told both clubs on Friday that he has agreed to move
It’s probably a bit overs but you’ve gotta get the deal done. Him and Taranto are exactly what we need. Will be interesting to see what happens with the ruck when Nank doesn’t play. Some are putting a lot of faith in Ryan but he seems a long way from ready to me.

Also interesting to see what we do at the draft. Do we even turn up? What picks do we have now?

Yep some people truly underrating these 2. It’s a gift from above both nominating Richmond in same off season.

I know he and his column aren’t popular here, but Parrot touched briefly on the Hopper deal in Sliding Doors yesterday. His opinion is that it will get done, because good clubs get these deals done.
therein lies the fence sitting Parrot ...

he who talks loud, saying nothing ..

They've played in a Grand Final with no one supporting the team they were playing for.
Can you imagine the difference to them mentally and spiritually in game one versus Carltoon when they run out and there's a roar for them from over half of the 80,000 people there.
They'll be jumping out of their skin, like other guys did playing for our wild fan base compared to the no fan base they played for.
Dion's first game for us in Rd 1 - 2017- 73,000 - 28 disposals, 1 goal, 5 tackles, 3 rebounds, 3 inside 50's, 6 clearances, a 43 point win and 2 Brownlow votes!!
Lynch in 2019 Rd 1 - 85,000 - the first goal of the game three minutes in, three goals for the game and a 33 point win.

By all reports the Club has a lot of faith in Ryan. Reckon he is the goods. Might play a fair bit of senior footy next year. Otherwise they might need to go sign a state league ruck in case of an emergency etc

Has Ryan spent more time forward or rucking in the VFL?
Learning the role and building the resilience to perform week in week out as the big lug.

Reckon we need a backup mature age lughead

He definitely wants to ruck more as well
Well if Soldo does leave it will fast track Samson's rucking development and he should be getting excited by the challenge.
A big pre-season required but all we really need at this point is continued growth in his game, only turns 22 in December but contracted till end of 2024.
Aside from Jackson no-one his age is rucking in the AFL at present so definitely still has plenty of time if he can keep improving.

We need to give him time.
2 seasons in the Vfl shouldering the load and learning how to be a vicious bigarsed pr***

Essendon have 4 rucks on their list are looking for a small forward. What about trading George for Nick Bryan

This is the sort of move we should be targeting. Player swaps to help rebalance any list gaps. Not sure if its Bryan (I know nothing about him) but this is the sort of thing that could work well for us

It's got everything.

Hard Nuts - Hopper, Cotchin and Prestia.
Skills and Goals - Dusty, Bolton, Taranto and Sonz.
Outside Runners - Graham, Short, Ross, Pickett, Baker, McIntosh.
I think Marlion needs his own category. Covers all 3 especially 1 and 2
