I am not convinced nank will play 22 games a year, and is starting to become very injury prone. Will be 29 next year and in my view he is a very OLD 29, rather than a fresh one with years left in him. Too much mileage on him to have the longevity of other rucks and to expect him to keep going strong similar to the likes of Goldstein is just wishful thinking. Sure hope the kids can fast track their development as the ruck stocks are almost nonexistent when nank goes down.

I’m not too fussed about going in to the season without a backup mature ruck. If Nank goes down pick up a mature ruck in the mid season draft if Ryan isn’t ready.
Might even be an opportunity to tempt one of the better state league rucks to join our vfl program with the carrot of a possible mid season call up to the AFL list.
I just found out the clubs can't lock in deals till after 9am Monday, what is this, home & away or neighbours? The AFL is fked they playing with kids futures and dreams.

You can't afford to get it wrong. For all the good job Hinkey did at Sydney, it came undone against the worse ruckman in the history of this game on the biggest day. Stanley bent him over.
