Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

How about Potatoe head Bartel.
Another Geelong prick trying to bend us over.
Since when does he have a job in list management.
He would struggle to count to 10

Future first round pick, fine for a good player. F1 likely to be a late pick, ok, we need to add something - looks like Soldo and/or pick 30.

To be honest I reckon all 3 of F1, Soldo and pick 30 is overs. F1 and Soldo, with GWS paying all of Soldo's salary seems reasonable. As others have pointed out there are quite a few players being traded for a hell of a lot less who are at a similar level to Hopper.

Can't see Hopper being really useful to GWS next year and how many draft picks do they need?

I suspect Richmond are saying no to the idea of all 3 of the above for Hopper, GWS are over-reaching on this and if they keep Hopper they lose flexibility in terms of bringing in players and get little return. GWS are clearly looking at least a couple of years ahead to contend again after this year's performance, keeping Hopper for another season makes no sense in terms of their medium term plans.

And the sun might fall out of the sky. And we could all be nuked when we're leading by 10 goals at three-quarter-time of the 2023 grand final with Hopper BOG.
I can relate to this.

I was hoping for the Zombie Apocalyse to begin on the day before this year's Grand Final. But I was conflicted.

My problem was that I had long had my eye on the Paper Mills buildings in Alphington as my hideout during said Apocalyspe, should it occer. No way would those dummies ever find me in there! Great plan, hunh?

Sadly, the buildings have been torn down and are being replaced by boxy apartment buildings, which would be useless in those circumstances. How can you hide from Zombies in a building held together by flammable cladding? Won't work. Hopefully, I can find an alternative soon, just in case Geelong make the Granny again.

Any suggestions?

The other significant consideration is GW$ supposedly need to salary dump. Now unless that situation has changed, they don't hold the whip hand here.
Not really IMO. Just a gut feel, there are different levels of anything, including salary dumps. Get there are the extreme Treloar holy *smile* we are way over and have half a day to do something panic dumps, then there are the we need to keep an eye on things and make some adjustments dumps. This is nowhere near the Treloar end. They are moving what 3 players? I'm only guessing but probably two out of the 3, 1 already gone, will get them out of trouble?

I wonder if it might be.

F1, Soldo and 31
For Hopper, 38, 61 and 63

Giants will get another F1 from the Bruhn trade and will give up a F3 for Bedford

FFS Hopper is a salary dump!!

Should be pick 30 and a VFL player.
Dee's will get Grundy for a 2nd round pick.
Trouble is that afl who change rules to suit gws gcs situations but change rules to stop clubs like Richmond and the salary dump isn't as serious with afl headquarters constantly covering up their overs.

Soldo and a second round pick is fair.
But if they insist on our future 1st round pick and Soldo then we should refuse.
No deal.
If soldo and a second gets us hopper,I would steal a NASA space shop to quickly accept.

Glad I closed the lift door on him (wearing his gws scarf) and didn't let him in lift at the 2019 GF

AFL HQ would be a good place to hide. The stench of rotting flesh and decay would disguise your human scent. Would have to clear out the current zombies who have got a jump start on apocalypse day one. Once dispatched you can stack them onto the piles of detritus that surround the joint.

Yeah - Good call Tommy. Anywhere inside Mickey Mouse Arena would be a good bolt hole. Even Zombies hate to go there.

And why would we pay Soldo's wages?

Because we can afford to within our TPP limit and because such a payment increases the value of the incoming player to GWS, which is either at or beyond its TPP limit for next season already..

This makes the deal very different for both parties and ultimately would lessen the sum we would need to pay.

We won't get Hopper
This is a AFL/Geelong thing.
The media don't want us as a challenger.
Cal Twomey reckons clubs should go for Whitfield and Haynes so it can release the cap issues with GWS and GWS can hold onto Hopper similar to Hill last year
This is all because Geelong want to go B2B.
