Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

WTF So Cooney wants us to give Ross Soldo and F1 for Hopper?
May as well chuck Dusty in there as well

I'm ok to give up Soldo - I want to give Ryan a chance. He needs an opportunity. Clearly still has a lot to learn but it's time to blood him for a few games. I just want to undersell Soldo though either...don't just give him away.

Surely F1 is enough for a team that needs to shed the player to relieve salary cap pressure. Hold strong Tigers.

Why aren't GWS salary dumping like Pies/Grundy and Suns/Bowes?
Seems with Taranto, Hill, Bruhn and then Hopper off the books, it isn't as tight as first reported.

Seems like they can afford Ivan and Bedford to come in. Whilst not on huge money both will demand increases to go up.

He aren't worth pick 31 and future first and Soldo there dreaming we shouldn't be near that deal screw them.

Who is they? Hopper is worth a first round pick. Offering anything on top of that is overs, particularly as we gave 12 and 19 for Taranto. If we offered Brown, it'd be just Brown. If we offered Soldo, it's probably with a 2nd round pick.

Spot on just hope we don't budge.

On Soldo. So long as he's happy to go, he's a smart player to move on.

We have Sampilands flying along and Miller showing something in the role.

If our recruiters can't round that out by adding one of the many cheap rucks from others clubs or State League to replace what Soldo gives as a backup, we're doing it wrong.

And if Soldo is our first ruck where does Nank play? We tried it this year and it simply did not work with playing at the same time.

Also what happens is 12 months times when Cotchin retires or Prestia again does his hammy? Taranto alone wont fix our midfield issues.
Nank plays in the reserves.

This has the Hawthorn O’Mera & Mitchell mistakes written all over it.

Pay too much in draft capital and bites u on the ass

Except we picked 5 players in the top 30 the previous draft which Hawthorn never did.

So our Captain is playing in the twos?

Yeah not happening. More chance of Stack being elevated to the leadership group than Nank playing in the reserves.

He should never have been made captain for precisely this issue. It makes a pretty average / replaceable player undroppable. Having said that agree with Leysy, if they want Soldo they can grab him.

Call me soft, but I don’t like uprooting contracted players and sending them off to footy Siberia. Don’t like it at all.
I agree, it's a culture killer.

As Leysy said though, different matter if the player sees value in it for themselves and goes willingly so that it's win/win... which is probably what they were doing with Jack Graham but JHF torpedoed that.
