Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

Let’s be clear though. Daddy green chose the army over playing footy. He wasn’t drafted to nam and kept underwater in a viet kong bamboo prison. We have no obscure father son right to Tom

Would be great if Tom Green wanted to come to Tigerland. Not sure that it will ever happen though, he has never lived in Melbourne, so it won't be like he wants to move back to Melbourne.

Mike Sheehan interviewed Michael Green who confirmed that Richmond had tried very hard to get Tom to want to come to Richmond (being a GWS Academy player I'm not sure if they could have pulled it off even if he wanted to) but Tom was adamant he wanted to go to GWS.

I think Richmond supporters are caught up in the romance of Tom coming to the club his grandfather was a club champion at but Tom isn't interested. Whilst some on this forum bring his name up constantly as a player we should be targeting I get the feeling that we may very well have and been turned down by Tom.

Everything I hear is that Tom is very happy at GWS and has no intention of leaving. Just because we love Richmond doesn't mean Tom has to.

Connor Stone is a player we should be keeping an eye on closely

Hopefully he has looked upto Taranto & Hopper and when his contract is up might consider becoming a Tiger

Sold his soul to Coles
Can’t be taken seriously anymore
Think all them mastercheffers did too, just can't trust any of them foodie experts any more. Think I'll just have to stick with McChew n spew n the Hungry jerker for a decent feed.

What is soldo worth with pick 19? Does he make it 10? And what is he worth if we pay a years wages? How far does 400k drop the pick? Can we afford it for a year? I think so.

The more I think about it, the more I think we are in a solid position coming into this trade period. Maybe 2 picks will do it.

If Soldo is part of the Taranto, Hopper trade, I'd like to see Riccardi come to us as part of the deal. Not sure how that gets done, maybe Soldo and another player.

I can see the AFL going to the next level with trading and introduce draft pick trading for salary cap. This will help GWS, they have players leaving left, right and centre, so they get more and more top picks, but you don't win a premiership with a team of champions, you need the champion team which means rookies too.

It actually wouldn't hurt GWS to sell some of their draft picks to other clubs for cap space, who at the lower end get more draft picks and don't need to pay duds to get to 95% of their cap.

Its probably the next move forward in the trade / FA market in the AFL.

The Taranto and Hopper deals will get done early in the trade week. As mentioned by Hardwick last night on 360 there won’t be any posturing from our end.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they deal has already been negotiated.

It's in both clubs interests to get it done as early a possible, can then focus on other deals that might be possible.

I reckon our interest in Logue indicates that the deal is more or less done. I also reckon the fact that we could incorporate a 450K (the amount we allegedly offered) player within our cap suggests that a Tigers player will be part of the deal, though it could be that they are going to a 3rd club rather than GWS.

I may be mistaken, but didn't Logue nominate north?
