Yes, it's interesting the difference in the Bowes and Hopper situations. It's a pity GWS are not salary dumping in the same fashion as the Gold coast.

Gee Whiz wanted to keep Hopper.Yes, it's interesting the difference in the Bowes and Hopper situations.
No. The Hopper courting started 12+ months ago.The Herald Hun are saying that the Hopper and Taranto trades will be done separately, and that the trade for Taranto could be completed today.
Just wondering whether Jack had given the club notice that he was considering going back to SA. Just speculating, but now that Jack has committed to staying, might we now be re-considering the option of trading in Hopper?
Would anyone do F1 and F2 for Hopper?
As posted GWS probs don't need more draft picks this year.
So we keep 30 and keep Soldo

Is picking up duds like Higgins Lennon Ellis Coleman Jones called 'selling the Farmer??'Good player when fit but Hopper has had some issues with his knee & repeated surgeries on it so a 7 year deal doesn't come without some risk.
I'd hope we're not selling the farm despite him being in the age window.
Hopper is a very good player & the right type. It's the 7 years after injury I've got my eye on.Is picking up duds like Higgins Lennon Ellis Coleman Jones called 'selling the Farmer??'
I reckon the separation is because Taranto looks to be straight forward (12 and 19 and OOC) whereas Hopper may prove to be a bit trickier.
Worst case we still get Taranto, if we miss out on Hopper, rather than missing out on both if the trades are combined.

So long as the medical checks out I'm ok with it but still he has had recurring issues. You'd just hope they don't linger cause 7 years is a long time if it does.Club would have completed a medical and wouldn’t have concerns offering a deal like that if they thought there were issues. We pulled the plug on the Trengove move when his foot was much worse than thought.
Backing the club on this one
I got the sense listening to the GWS List Manager this morning that a deal for Hopper isn’t far away.I reckon the separation is because Taranto looks to be straight forward (12 and 19 and OOC) whereas Hopper may prove to be a bit trickier.

The issue oldie for me and my health I can't bare another 5yrs of poor 1st rounders.Hopper is a very good player & the right type. It's the 7 years after injury I've got my eye on.
What was the original knee injury? It seems there was an issue with the surgery that just needed a clean out rather than it being a second injury. So long as the medical checks out I'm ok with it but still he has had recurring issues. You'd just hope they don't linger cause 7 years is a long time if it does.
What recurring injury issues ? He only played 7 games this year but apart from that it was 23 in 2021, 17 in 2020, 23 in 2019 and 21 games in 2018. That doesn't look bad to me ??.So long as the medical checks out I'm ok with it but still he has had recurring issues. You'd just hope they don't linger cause 7 years is a long time if it does.
