Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

The bulging GWS salary cap is just the symptom

Their problem is, and was from the very beginning, the recruitment plan that focused on getting top 10 draft picks only. All their first round picks want to look pretty and want the mega contract. Very few want to do the hard work.

The best example is Lambert. Picked up in the rookie draft and then worked his backside off and this allowed Dusty to strut his stuff

Until GWS change their recruitment strategy they will always have salary cap pressure and will continue to have players leave
Can still have players taking less to stay together. This is the issue re: their cap in that they let Players dictate terms to the Club.

Their problem is very few will stay at GWS for less then they can get elsewhere, and it seems few will stay for the same they can get elsewhere.

Yeah maybe, thought the Tiger link might get him back home
Weve had a number of goes for Green and he keeps saying no.

Maybe we tell him to GAGF when he comes knocking after Taranto and Hoppy tell him how good it is after winning a Premiership Medal. :mhihi

Green's on much bigger money than we could pay him. He'll be a free agent in five years.

Green? Prefer Matt Crouch. Comparatively honest and quite brisk.

Exactly.. very unusual that a player that has had strong ties to the club knock it back but it has happened before.
Marc Murphy
He is a grandson of a gun not son. Equivalent would be Richards at the bulldogs who I think is Ron Richards grandson and Lou’s great nephew.

Yep.
The club wouldve tried and he might be a kid that is loyal to his drafted club.
There's talk they want him as captain.
Good luck getting him out then

Agree with little zig,the only reason tom greens dad didn't play 100 games with Richmond was that he was moved in his army job to another state when he was a young developing player.

Adelaide have relized while Matt Crouch is good at clearances,he can't get up and down the ground like Taranto,Hopper can.
