Big preseason and I’m looking at him as a new recruit , was certainly a disappointment for me , I rated him much higher then he performed this year . He’s always been injured in his career so hopefully the luck turns from here

Despite that handball mistake I thought he played really well. Against poor opposition fair enough but looking forward to next year.

He is hard and tough and can get the footy… his defensive transition is horrible though. Hopefully gets super fit in the off season. We will need him.

The club reached big time to get Hopper. He's what Jack Dyer would call a 'good ordinary player' - and he always has been, so the deal was always a silly one. There is just about as much chance of me playing for Richmond than Hopper in 6 years - he will go the way of Caddy.

Interesting one - seems to find an extra gear when we have the ball and hits the breaks when we don’t - given how dominant we were in the ruck expected a lot more.

I think if you look at Taranto and Hopper for the total trade value it looks better.

Not sure if we overrated our list , maybe our medical staff , put Lynch, Tarrant, Gibcus ,Soldo or Nank into the 22 most weeks and the structure “could” have changed our season dramatically
