Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

Agree - showed glimpses as to what he could be which is a skilled big bodied midfielder.
That's what I remember seeing him at GWS, has not shown being a big bodied player at all since moving over. Is slow and not particularly strong in the contest either. Looks leaner and yet doesn't run well & is injury prone. Red flags everywhere (at this stage).

He played 23 games in 21, 17out of 18 in 20, 23 in 19 and 21 in 18.

He missed a lot in his 1st 2 - not sure whether injured or reserves- then missed about 8 games in 4 years, before missing a lot again the last 2.
Hopefully we get back to the 2018-2021 version, who showed he could win the ball, tackle and kick the occasional goal.
So about 50 games in 8 years? And a lot in the last 2? Confident you'll get 20 plus games a season out of him moving forward?

I do rate Hopper and believe he can get back to his 2019/2021 form.

Honours: GWS Giants 3rd best and fairest 2019, 2021; All-Australian nominee 2021; NAB AFL Rising Star nominee 2016. 2021 Brownlow Medal Votes: 15

In 2022 injured and only played 7 games.

And for us this year, there were games when I thought well done you played well but there were other times I would think man you should be doing more.

Here's hoping he goes up another cog and has a similar impact to what Taranto had for us this year.

Training today. Solid unit.

Yes. I also can’t stand these pictures of a player enjoying the time at his workplace and the company of his teammates.
He should be driving himself into the ground and barfing on the sidelines.
Smiling at work, should be outlawed.

Exactly.

Until morale improves the beatings need to continue.

If people are wondering who we might’ve picked if we didn't bring in Hopper.
Curtin he has gone to Adelaide

Could have been converted to next year's first pick (WCE).
Curtin versus next year's first is a nice little subplot, could West Coast surprise next year? I think it's possible, I'd be going bird in hand but there's also a chance West Coast still come out on top.

Could be, I still don't rate em. Probably need another 2-4 regular senior players (being generous) to climb the bottom rung of the ladder IMO.

Yeah I agree. I can't see them finishing anywhere other than bottom.
