Welcome to the Tigers - Daniel Rioli

Daniel Rioli revived memories or Butch Gale in the 1995 Prelim Final today when he burst out of the centre and booted the ball over 50 meters - the WRONG WAY.

To rub salt into the wound it cost us a goal in a game we lost by 2 points.

Hmmm, does it still count as a centre clearance !

If his name was Dean Zip would he have gone under pick 20?
Lennon?
Ellis?
Roili?
Ellis?
Conca :vomit

All first rounders. Unbelievable

What I'm most surprised about picking up Rioli was they picked up a player who has pace and most importantly tackle. That is not a rated commodity under Hardwick.

Other than that wasn't he awesome, Broders?

Pity Chappy couldn't hold a simple mark. Spillage straight to a Casey player n job done.

Apart from one little brain fart he played well, stick the kid straight back into the seniors on ball n he can embarrass half the side with his tackling n intensity at the contest.

it doesnt really matter which way he bursts and roosts. all the other blokes do it to a lesser extent. in for a penny, in for a pound.

Dimma might make him captain for taking The Process behind the Four Walls to the extreme.

Chappy should just retire right now. He was embarrassing even in the VFL.

He's had a pretty tough first year, won't do him any harm. After talking with him and watching him play , I don't reckon will get much other then glimpses for the first couple of years, then he'll mature and improve rapidly, don't think he'll ever be a star, but IMHO more then handy

Yep another first rounder will be ok but not a star. Don't see any rising star nominees or winners amongst our younger players. We are in deeper *smile* than a we think.

Menadue's shown plenty to get enthused about.

He's been embarrassing for the past 2.5 years.

1.5 reasonable seasons of footy since we recruited him. 2.5 seasons of ineptitude. Even the greatest defenders of Chaplin and the RFC would concede that is nowhere near what we would have expected when we recruited him.

Sure he was FA so he cost nothing but overall he has been a bust. Geez we are sh!thouse at talent identification.

Menadue was stiff to miss out last week

Likely to be promoted this week. With Hardwick and his clowns on the selection committee anything is possible!

Surprised he got recalled this week. 13 tackles in VFL was great, but big difference between VFL and AFL speed. Get him kicking goals and his hands on the footy in the vfl for a couple of weeks.

Needs to keep playing reserves
Right now he can't handle the pace and pressure. No need to rush him in, he's clearly not ready.

Been saying this for a long time. Please send him back to the VFL for an extended period to learn how to get the ball and use it. He's too light for AFL atm.
