Welcome to the Tigers - Daniel Rioli

This.
There is no space for a small forward to work.
We push too high and rarely are able to move the ball quickly, which would be to advantage.

Is a good coach one that rigidly holds on to his philosophy, irrespective of talent or one that adapts to the talent at hand and works to their strengths?

Yes he relies on run but he's always getting caught so put him in the VFL for a bit where he wont get caught. Our season is gone and he has a bright future. You would think the club would understand this and actually develop his skill base and confidence. But this is Richmond... selecting Rioli might each week might attract a few more spectators.

Will probably be "rested" so we can bring in Conca. Sorted.

We have no small fwd to replace him.
I agree he needs to be dropped as he is currently being gifted games, but there is no likely replacement.
Maybe Butler, but his form in the 2's is ordinary.
Our list is a shambles.

Have to call it as it is. Has been struggling big time for a little while now. Needs a rest.

This shithouse form might do the kid the world of good, doesn't lack confidence so may be the kick in the arse he needs......back to the VFL for a bit

Please do not drop him. Not playin well but our season is over, so give him as many games this year.

Not sure why people think this. His problem was predictable pre-season: too small, too light, not strong enough to play there. He just gets caught and crunched. Cannot get a handball out, not strong enough. He is giving away about 10cm and 20kg to the average, modern, rugged mid. So what do you think happens when he goes in there?

Only a matter of time before he cops a serious injury. So this will develop him? Is a SF/wing until he builds a body for the game. Has some speed, so does every 2nd or third mid these days. Not the only guy to ever run under 3sec at draft camp!! They catch him.

Not convinced about him. Seen plenty around here label him a star, even a star mid. Woah. Has to show an ability to get more than 6 or 7 possessions first. He's nowhere in the class of his uncle Cyril either who played a pivotal role in a premiership year 1. Doesn't have the same foot skills, game awareness or ability to keep his feet (big one he lacks). He has pace and is a good tackler so we build from there. But baby steps people.
