Welcome Sam Banks

Was given a solid month to show his wares and to be brutally honest, the results were underwhelming. Contrast that with Coulthard who showed more promise in a single quarter despite only arriving at the club six weeks prior.

I’m not writing Banks off just yet but there are concerns.
No way under whelming, for a baby 3 gamer showed me future stardom ,barely scratched the surface with his talent.

Yet to be convinced about Banks (VFL and Pre Draft form included). But in saying that, he wasn't useless these last 3 games so I'd far prefer to see him going around again to: a) expedite his development and b) see whether he's up to it or not than persevere with a totally under performing Pickett.

Cue Picks to have his best game of the year now. :ROFLMAO:

So your predicting 7 possessions and a behind

Nah, prefer to keep him in, like any player they need games in them to develop. The trouble with being a good club that has been performing well is that it’s hard to get the youth in so they can develop. Now we aren’t so good we need to give the young uns more opportunities to get games into them.
Kids had a look at the heat of AFL level, now he needs to go back for a bit n put some of the learnings from those games into effect at VFL level. Take some of the heat and intensity off him for a bit and allow him to put it back onto some players at the lower level. There's room n time for him to get a couple more senior games yet this year, plus another pre season of growth and development on the back of even a handful of senior games should set him up for much more senior footy next year.

Banks in for Grimes

Hmm liked him but he also shirked a few contests tonight. A young kid and he will improve no doubt. But he needs to be tougher in the contest.

at 70kg I'm not expecting miracles in the contest. Clearly needs to build muscle

Reckon he showed signs today of his dash and his kicking ability. I'm not marking down a skinny winger for not being as hard in the contest at this stage.

Sam Banks will be a very good player for us. Nice speed, very balanced and a lovely hoof.

No more vfl please.

Perfect example of a player who will get great benefit out of playing the last 3 games of the year , these are the upsides of having a *smile* year , play the kids
