Welcome Jacob Blight

Given the abyss in which we find ourselves I can't see any downside to leaving this guy on the list for another year at least. Give him a full pre season and another year in an AFL system and let's see how he develops. Let's see what he's got. For all the criticism of him he still took 8 marks.

Miller has been poor this year and really poor last few weeks. He was uncompetitive yesterday; did not want the contest.

Poor bugger. What hope do he and Miller have when the ball flows into the opposition foward line so eadily .We have an entire midfeild and foward line which applies NO pressure upfeild at all.

Look more than sound when the ball was in the air but shakey with the ball in hand. Didn't notice that at VFL level, maybe needs more time to find the pace.

I'll say one thing, when he goes to a contest, he crushes it forward. Nothing half-hearted about the spoil.

Interesting Gray re-signed but not Blight yet.

Still reckon he's far from a lock to get an extension.

I spoke to him at half time at the Pies game. He said he was in talks with the club re a 1 year deal for next season.

I wonder if that is still the case ?

I’d be fine with two years, as I would have been with Gray & Green too. Give them a proper timeframe to develop.

Especially as Ryan was given three!!

Id like to see him do a pre season and lose about 10kg
Spot on. A lot extra weight.
If he gets back under 85kg and trims down we could have a AA quality intercept marking back.
His hands a too good to ignore.
I would keep him to have the preseason and see if his stamina and work rate increased.
If it didn't by march, then see ya.
