Hate to be the voice of dissent / TBR2 but the tackle knocked the ball out with a fist before it was a tackle - or it at least appears that way on the umpire view - so not a HTB even if there has been prior opportunity. Never. (Except when it happens to Richmond vs BL and isn't even a legal tackle and just a slap of the ball).
Personally, I reckon they should change this rule so that if you knock the ball out in the tackle (i.e. not just a slap of the ball with no tackle) and the player has had prior opportunity then that's HTB too to make it black and white. The rule as it is written is so open to interpretation as to if the 'legal tackle causes the football to be dislodged". WTF is dislodged. I take it to be a slap out, but if it's a Richmond player pinning both arms and the Carlton player just drops it I'm sure the umpire will interpret that as dislodged too and then the Carlton player will drop the knees and jump forward and it will be in the back.

Also for the avoidance of doubt is the most laughable phrase the AFL could have added there. They literally take the *smile*.
