Umpire farce - Getting worse by the minute!

Azza said:
I wonder if they're going to crack down on the ball being 'knocked free in the tackle' (ie dropped)? If so, the farce will have gone up another gear. It's clearly been deliberately sanctioned to make the game faster. If they now turn around and start calling illegal disposal it'll finally establish that the game is officiated at the whim of the AFL and the umpiring department rather than the rulebook.

I agree with your post that there is no shadow of a doubt
the game is officiated by the AFL department.

Its something different every few weeks, quite amusing actually for a professional sport.

Did the Geisch ever work for the North Korean ministry of propaganda between gigs at Richmond and the AFL?

He wasn't known as Sugar Lips at Richmond for nothing (not that he knew of course :)), Giesh could sell sand to the Arabs.

No! A mate who has a pretty comprehensive collection of footy cards, cigarette cards etc. His great grandfather played in the first VFL round and his old man was on the Sydney board. Family is very pro-AFL.

Was on a rant and said "Can you believe those *smile* even have their own set of footy cards?" and he said quietly, "Yeah, I've got them." :hihi

:rofl, agree WTF is right, that is hilarious. Umpire cards.

Why don't the AFL have A Brownlow for them as well , and may as well throw in
all Australian Team, and they shouldn't stop there they could even give them there own draft.

The great thing is on the back of McBurney's card his hobbies are listed as Gardening, Fishing and awarding Free Kicks from 100 metres behind the play...Who'd have thunk McBurney liked Gardening...

Don't tempt them. I reckon an AA umpiring squad is just a Gieschen idea away.

The set, available through the AFLUA website, costs $50.

They must mean that they'll pay YOU $50 for each set.

Seriously though - These are gonna be collectors items in a few years because in 2015 the AFL will burn the 24996 sets that are left from the 2012 production run, elevating the true value of the three sets that were sold to about $51.25 and making the janitor's day when he discovers a dusty set that had fallen behind the shelving in the AFL merchandising storeroom. :fing32

3 field umpires and none could see Riewoldt marked the ball cleanly or got pushed in the back.
Martin gos for a soft sling tackle. Ball gos up the other end Walker slings Morris head first into the ground - holding the ball.
Doesn't help us if Walker gets a week
Crows staging is terrible
