Trade Week - Richmond Only

The problem for us is that GC now only have 6, 23, 39, 41. If they give us 6 and 23 that leaves them with only 858 points with picks 39 and 41 to match a bid for LL which they will need about 1,200 points (after discount) if a bid comes in at 8/9. Also they have no other picks for the draft. This trade decreased our chances of 6 and 23.

We got 51 & 61 to give them so that will help a bit.

Bickley is another fool.

'Picks 10 & 11 is outrageously overs for Bolton'

*smile*.
Bolton one of only 3 players to have had 400 disposals and 40 goals in a season in the last 5 years. Bolton is also one of only 5 players to have had 500 disposals and 30 goals in season in the last 5 years.

He is a unicorn and easily worth picks 10 and 11.

We will give 51 and 61 back. Blair knows what he's doing.

Surely they can do this easily if we give them 50, 61, 70, 76? If we bid on Ashcroft and Brisbane matches, it'll bring all those junk picks forward by 3 or so, right? That should add up to about 1500 if my maths is right.

Compare the pair:
- Bolton = gravy on your premiership roast, everyone knows you cannot have a roast without gravy, it’s essential.
- 10 and 11 = one or both COULD be great players OR one or both could be duds like so many before at these picks not to mention sliding because of Ashcroft etc. They are not even in the drum to make up the packets of powdered gravy mix.

Bolton has form, 10 and 11 haven’t even had a barrier trial.

Not only that, head back to his 2022 season when he played as a small forward in a good team.

He had 84 shots on goal, averaging 3.7 per game.
2023 he played more midfield time had 60 shots at goal, averaging 2.7 per game but playing a lot more midfield time
2024 back to small forward but this time in a crap team, 60 shots at goal, averaging 2.8 per game.

Rankine who was traded for Pick 5 2 years ago and is now 24 (Shai is only a year and a half younger than him), just had 38 shots at goal (in 15 games) averaging 2.5 per game.

So Rankine is worth Pick 5, but is statistically a much weaker player than Shai. In his 1st season with the Crows, he averaged 3.2 shots at goal when they finished 9th, similar team performance to what Shai had in 2022 yet Shai was still around 15% better than him.

People give Shai so little credit because of his lackadaisical manner, but he's an absolute gun, the disrespect he seems to get in the industry is outrageous.

Yeah 70 also - that just scrapes them over 1,200. They won't have anything else unless they use picks at the end of the draft.

I doubt they will take anything more than 1 player in this draft. They had to reduce their list size down this year, so were always unlikely to take too many in this draft, and they were always planning on setting themselves up for next years draft.

All these picks will come in after the bid on Levi, will come in even further if they go Wacko for Kako before going troppo for Leo

Thats 10 picks around abouts, will lower their picks and increase points per pick

Really really bad recency bias - Dories everywhere

Which is why we will be sending 51 and 61 their way which is close to 400 points. We will want something back and are eyeing a future pick swap to include one of the F1s they just got from Port and Collingwood

Bolton for 10 + 11 would help any club with premiership aspirations within the next few years.

He's a proven, first class, cherry-on-top in his prime. And he's available now.
