Thomson Dow

Struggling to remember a player who has improved on such a trajectory.
Coming from a relatively low base, he’s unfolded in front of our eyes. Suggest he’s been working on the mental side of his game. Playing with new found confidence
And those hands!!!

Surprised he didnt try to handball through for that goal.

Hopefully the coaches are working with him to use his feet when he can as 99% of the time he handballs

Yep. Lambert had freakish hands but his kicking was ordinary. Good comparison.
They say blind people have a heightened sense of hearing.
He’s obviously developed his hands because he was born with no feet

His handballing skills are great but it's his ball control in tight that's most impressive. He rarely fumbles in tight contests.

Yeah was good. Still his possessions always feel under pressure. Doesn't make a lot of time/space for himself. Might be just me.

Yep, one of the few in our midfield who can put a team mate into space/a better position… so many of our midfielders just treat the ball as a hot potato and handball the pressure to a nearby team mate.

I saw it another way - that despite being under pressure when he managed to grab the ball - he was usually pretty good at getting a good handball away to a bloke on the outside
If can can continue to do that - he‘ll play a lot of footy for us

I agree. It's something we've lacked since Edwards retired, a mid that puts others into good positions. He seems to read the play really well and knows where his teammates are, and doesn't try to do too much by himself, which guys like Dusty, Shai and Rioli can do sometimes.
