Thomson Dow

Let's be honest he kept us in the game in the first. It was him and only him getting the pill in close.

I for one was rapt with him.
Really wish he levelled up his handball to kicking ratio. I reckon he currently sits at 2-1 handball heavy. There was a point in the match yesterday where he got the ball in the forward 50 and he could have turned and shot on goal but handballed further outside of the 50 and the play broke up.

His instinct is just to handball which is his one wood but could really improved if he backed his kicking a bit more when possible.

Remember watching him with @caesar at training when get got drafted. Always had the skill . Class act . Ready to step up
Liken him to Cotchin . Starting to hunt the ball which was Trent’s strength. YZE will be good for Dow
Cotchin retiring opens a spot for Dow.
Prestia got slightly less of it in 23 up fwd, with JH, TT joining the team.
I'd rather Prestia over Graham as HF

Our midfield is/was great on paper..but it didn't translate into wins.

I know the one you mean. Hopefully later in the year with even more confidence he takes that on and nails that one

Blasphemous to compare Dow with Shedda. Shedda was always searching for the miraculous. Hence his questionable KE in his early yrs. Dow will make an AFL player if he improves his KE efficiency whilst simply searching for the mundane.

One of the few positives from the game tonight. Looks like he belongs at the level now.

Hopefully can continue this into the season proper and cement a spot in the midfield

Early days but well played tonight.
No longer a spectator , goes in, wins his own ball and more often than not hits targets.
Will be a certain starter round zero, one would think.

He impressed again tonight; keeps finding the ball and distributing.

I’m hoping we will have a few more surprise players rise up throughout the season; Trezise looked great in his cameo late last year.

Watching tonight, l thought he has more confidence in his ability and it showed tonight a fair number of times. Good progress
Its a pity he didn't show this 18 months ago.
Because if he was showing this earlier we might’ve have not needed to off load 26 picks for 2 GWS players.

There is always a new kid to show something in a *smile* year..

Reminds me of Parish

Best for us tonight. Elite hands in tight. Hopefully he can continue to improve
