Thomson Dow

Not able to watch the game, but checked the AFL site for details.
Why pick a kid like this, then not have him attend one centre bounce. That's just dumb. He doesn't have many elite traits, and the one he does we're not putting him in a spot to use it.
What message does that send?
He was in the centre.
Just tooo slow and not strong to win the ball.
Ginger nuts destroyed us

He was like a deer in the headlights. Practice matches are over son. Real stuff now.

Disappointing all right but our entire midfield was sub standard high school seconds calibre in the first half. The senior mids were lazy as F, it doesn’t exactly set a good example for the junior mids.

Attended 17 centre bounces according to the stats. Did not record a single possession inside the centre square.

Yep and there were a number of goals where he was just following in behind 1 of Rowell of Anderson out of the stoppage.

Is there to be a clearance winner and to handball off to overlapping runners and did absolutely zero of that today.

He attended centre bounces. There were several goals to the Suns where you see vision of Rowell or Anderson sprinting from him and delivering the ball inside 50. He was a non entity in the centre bounce for pretty much the entire game, didn't get near winning centre clearances, Rowell and Anderson were way too good for him.

Why do you think he didn't attend centre bounces?

The bloke taking the stats fell asleep or went home
Watch the game mate.
He was in a million centre bounces and didn't go near it
I'm home now, so I'll give it a shot later.
I see above he was at 17 Centre bounces in another set of stats.....whoever works for the AFL must have been on Dimma's hooch.

Btw there's basically only one way to get a player like Rowell and you all know what that is.

Rowell was good, but he isn't clean.
He looks clunky and messy at times.
The best see ball get ball midfielder is Tommy Green.
It's a disgrace that he isn't in a RFC jumper.

He was terrible but has had a great pre season. I think we need to play him next week. Give him a run of games, see if he responds, see if he is up to it. We ain't making finals anyway. This year is about working out which of the kids can contribute in the future and which we need to part with

That's bizarre, wonder who they were attributing his CBA's too, cos he was definitely there

Maybe that is the point of him getting zero, the stats man being cute (probably a Tigers supporter).

Doesn't matter where he was standing, he had no impact so they figured he wasn't attending.

Yep. Too many writing him off after 1 game. Needs to keep playing in the guts to harden up.

I do agree. This is a make or break year for a few of these guys, but writing him off after one game is not helping any.
