Thomson Dow

He's basically fighting for a midfield spot with Taranto. If he's playing a lot of snr footy, we're not winning a lot of games.
He can play, that's why he was drafted but NO development.
His kicking has not improved. And his 2nd efforts are shitful.
I'm with you, I would be shocked if he and Sony are regular players next year.
Today's quality kids are hungry, they chase they fight. Bulters, Rossee, Glyden, Warner
They need the biggest preseason in AFL history. Non stop running

Apart from the shank at goal, I was just so impressed at how he went about it yesterday. Honestly was racking it up at will & that movement? Damn is he fleet of foot. Gets excellent separation. Just wow.
Think there's still a bit of development left in Thomson. Glad we kept him & looking forward to seeing how his year unfolds..

Might have the best inside agility at the club. Has always moved well.

Sounds like you’re describing Shedda.
Let’s hope he tracks the same way, as Edwards also took a whilst to get enough strength in his body to execute at AFL level.
We’re desperate for another play maker or two so fingers firmly crossed.

This place definitely needs more Dow love.

If any of the superhunks had the performance he put in yesterday people would be losing their collective minds.

If Dow kicks on it will probably be a "should we have picked up Hopper" last year thing I reckon

Looking at pictures of him in the training galleries, he's as lean as a greyhound, not an ounce of fat on him.
If he's developed a bit of hardness, as well as his movement, he'll be a handy part of mid rotations.
Just won't be able to rest forward, since he cannot kick for goal.

Hmmm. Not convinced. Yet. Going into his 5th season. Think he’s out of contract at the end of the year (on a one year contract for 2024) so it’s a big year for Tommo.

Whatever, it appears Yze is gonna give him a fair bit of exposure so he’s gonna get every opportunity.

Good luck to the fella.

Kicking would need to improve dramatically to make it.

Yes. Shank became Shedda once we knew what he was about.

His kicking looked bad because he was too smart for most of his teammates. Dow could be the same. Can open the game up like Shedda used to
Yeah, that and the fact some his kicks went along the ground.

Hopefully we arent getting overly excited by the performance of the Fantastic Five after an intra-club match sim in Feb 2026 because they will have actually performed at AFL level by that age.
